What is your opinion of mixing temple worship with dating relationships?

My friend did volunteering at church for 30 years, and 15 years before, he briefly considered checking out the girls at church in search of a date, and immediately he embarrassed himself by a clumsy fall off his chair and a girl added to his humiliation by asking him in front of every one if he needed help getting back up.

I asked him if he believed God was warning him not to use religion for dating purposes. And his response was, “of course I made that (conclusion). Of course I made that (conclusion).”

I know both Christians and non-Christians who were punished when they used the church as an excuse to pick up girls.

Paul said, God might let people die an early death if they use the church for a purpose other than what it was originally intended for, whether that is dating, job opportunities, social net working, or manual support with house fixing and child care etc…,

Well if he wants to meet someone that has the same beliefs and values then it’s a great place to meet someone.
As for the accident that just doesn’t cut it for me for devine intervention.
