Maybe the atheists think the same thing about you religious people
What goes through your mind when you hear atheists say there is no scientific proof God exists?
Maybe the atheists think the same thing about you religious people
I think their brain works differently than mine.
I've seen very intelligent, and I'd respectfully observe, brighter than me in various ways, people on both sides discuss this issue. It's not a smart issue or IQ. Each brain works differently and perceives differently.
I think the issue is how well the emotional part of us connects and flows. When that's shut off, we are disconnected.
It's a heart issue at it's core... we resonate back to our source. But it gets convolutted and lost in this world.
Maybe an easier question is... if you wanted to be somewhere... in some state of vibration forever, what state of emotion would that be? Everything in the world/universe and evenoutside of time... is vibration according to some scientists.
I see God as more vibration/resonance/inspiration... overcoming the world and it's negative energy vibration. If we cannot resonate or relate to "love" to give it a name, then we are left baffled. Other religions I've seen resonate off, I perceive, different emotion.
Beyond this... religion gets confusing/ confounding. We want to see daily evidence and that's a mess, as humans are fallible. We fail constantly, if we are evaluating ourselves... some have too big egos to do that, others are more humble. That's all addressed in religion, but it isn't helpful to see. It leaves seeking/developing people confused... looking to others failures for examples of God. It be like watching some pilot training us to fly a plane but they crash like 50% of the time. Noone sign up for that. It's definitely a leap of faith to jump into a plane and fly it.
There is no substitute for work either, we are living in time.
There's no shame in disbelieve, but it leaves one stuck with "ok, what now". Still have to deal with the realities of this life, without those tools... and be your best human. My odds are on most people struggling. But some very smart people did well without it, Einstein... I think could have been another smartie of the time. But even he said, as I recall, "I don't know"...
Because if he knew, he knew he'd be wrong! Can't... Thus, there must be faith.
and that's the conundrum.
Exploration of left and right side of brain is helpful to understand they have value and work differently. the right side of brain is for connection... emotion... love..."God"... connecting beyond time and our physical space.
brain dump...
Someone calling an athiest stupid, is itself very flawed. Everyone is on their path of discovery. religious texts even say don't call others "fools". Although tempting to do so, it's fair warning not to do that.
The inverse of all of this is..."is there evil"? Exploring that can also be helpful.
All these are found in the most fascinating of places...
I saw some people in the comment section of this question calling atheists dumb and idiots.
I know I technically did ask for people’s opinions but I still think they could have been a little more respectful about how they worded their response.
It seems like some religious folks have a hard time respecting not everyone feels the same way as them.
thanks for MHO. A general theme on GAG is a lack of consideration, people say things here they likely wouldn't say to someones face. You never know their emotional state when writing or how much care they put into it. I do that too at times.
Yes some religious people are biggots and worse. They can be the worst people, or the best. I take it all as a reflection of that person and their opinions, and not personally. I used to take it personally when I wasn't as mature.
I do realize as well, there are things I don't know. There are known knowns, unknown unknowns. And there is the unknowable... namely, time. Nobody knows what tomorrow brings. I can guarantee though what tomorrow brings... change. It won't be the same as today.
There are a few mature people out here you can rely on and generally respect their answers... you learn to discern the authors...
Thanks for the advice and your welcome
I agree with them, because I am an atheist, and there isn't.
If someone believes in God, I have no problem with that, though. That's their faith, and I respect that. They'll just never convince me, and I get offended that they don't respect my lack of belief.
So life magically happened and we all came on this earth, animals, crops, food, water, perfect distance from the sun — further we’d all freeze, closer and we’d burn to death, you need a creator for a creation. That’s the difference, I don’t get why atheists don’t get that.
Here’s your answer

@pass_the_celery98 I'd prefer not to get involved in a religious debate.
You have your beliefs, and I have mine (or lack thereof). I don't intend to try and change anyone's opinion, and I'd prefer if you didn't try to change mine. It never ends well.
I respect your beliefs, even if I don't share them, so let's leave it at that, please.
Religion is faith based... offering scientific proof negates the relationship on faith, and likely trust in God. If you consider emotions and the unconscious, it's reasonable to expect some line of intelligence to support the things we can't see, but feel or experience.
That the statement is factually correct. If there was proof one way or the other, then there be very few differing beliefs as we'd all be able to see the "evidence".

I think the biggest problem with the concept of a divine creator, is mankinds inability to think outside the box. When they hear the word God, they start with an image of Charton Heston (sp) and a group of shepherds, images passed down to us that were totally subjective and limited by their understanding of the world. Matter can neither be created or destroyed nor destroyed. But matter and energy can be transformed. Native Americans say that the Great Spirit used part of His fabric to create the world. That would suggest that God is intelligent energy. What are the Ten Commandments but a collection of suggestions for people living with each other instead of independently. I think our concepts of who and what God could be have to change with our knowledge of the world around us. I don't believe in a magician. But I do believe in an intelligence that has complete control over matter. Mythology contaminates possible fact. Nobody can prove a thing. Recent findings suggest that the model of matter that we use is all wrong. However if you don't understand it you will never pass Chemistry. Peace and keep thinking.
There's no more scientific evidence that God doesn't exist than there is theological evidence that gravity pulls us towards the earth. To claim that science can prove that God doesn't exist is like telling a two-year-old to eat an elephant. It's beyond the scope, competence, and authority of science (also, which "science" are we talking about here?) to claim that God doesn't exist.
Science can tell us what we know about the physical world and how it works, but it doesn't tell us why it exists in the first place. Among the marks of science are the admission that there are things we don't know and understand and asking questions about what we know already in order to expand or gain knowledge. Likewise how what we know and understand changes.
Making definitive claims about God is not something that science is capable of.
@BCRanger10
Not as a concept but it does prove that said description of god is probably not accurate.
For all we know god might irrelevant for a practical purposes.
A existence of a god wouldn't by itself mean that any of the religions is correct, that there is a afterlife or that objective morals exist.
From a gods perspective our universe might be just a single atom.
I don't remember anyone ever claiming the Bible was a science book. It's inspired scripture that acts as a historic account for events that happened in the past and there is a lot of historic evidence to support the validity of the claims. Some of that evidence would fall into the realm of archaeology which is a soft science that at times utilizes hard scientific principles for analysis. That said, the Church played a significant role in the development of Western science and many foundational scientists in the core fields were very religious men that took inspiration from scripture in their research topics which lead to scientific evidence which seems to align with Biblical ideology.
Just one small example would be
Isaiah 40:22
It is he who sits above the circle of the earth, and its inhabitants are like grasshoppers; who stretches out the heavens like a curtain, and spreads them like a tent to dwell in;
So from this we can gather that the earth is circular, round, spheroid in shape and that the heavens are being spread out or expanding. Georges Lemaître reads this as a Catholic priest, theoretical physicist, and mathematician and goes on to argue that the universe is expanding. This is the basis of the Big Bang Theory...
Another example of scriptural inspiration would be
Genesis 1:12
12 The earth brought forth vegetation, plants yielding seed according to their own kinds, and trees bearing fruit in which is their seed, each according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.
Gregor Mendel reading this set out on a plant breading experiment with pea seeds and created the foundation of Genetics in Biology from his observations which line up with what he read in the Bible.
This pattern starts because Thomas Aquinas an Italian Dominican friar and priest had an interest in Aristotle the father of logic. Thomas Aquinas promoted reason and faith together and went on to become the foremost scholastic thinker and one of the most influential philosophers and theologians in the Western tradition. Through his deep logical analysis of the Bible, he developed Christian apologetic and highly influenced the Renaissance. As the Bible says in
Isaiah 1:18
Come now, let us reason together, says the Lord...
and that is exactly what Thomas Aquinas did thus promoting the foundation of science...
It's always weird how Atheist pretend to worship science due to their history in the cult of reason during the French revolution, but hate the very Church and God that gave them that science to worship. Atheist always claim they can be moral without God, but they take what is good, directly from God who told them the difference between good and bad. They claim to move away from a God they choose to put no faith in and bot believe in, yet in order to move away from that God, they first must believe he exists to turn their back on him. Atheist are fools.
Why would he want to expand it? Seems to me he would want to draw everything closer to Earth for the going away party.
If you think about, it would actually tear apart and follow a tendency toward chaos due to entropy...
2 Peter 3:10
But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies will be burned up and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will be exposed.
2 Peter 3:12
waiting for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be set on fire and dissolved, and the heavenly bodies will melt as they burn!
I'll post this little text block from sciencenewstoday which I like the wording of...
If entropy always increases, where does it end? This brings us to one of the most haunting ideas in cosmology: the heat death of the universe.
In the distant future, assuming the laws of physics as we know them remain unchanged, all stars will burn out, galaxies will dissipate, and black holes will evaporate via Hawking radiation. The universe will become a cold, dark, featureless expanse of uniform temperature and maximum entropy. There will be no usable energy left to perform work, no gradients, no life. Just the silent stillness of thermodynamic equilibrium.
This ultimate fate, predicted by the second law, is called the heat death. It is not an explosion or a collapse but a fading away—a descent into perfect disorder, where everything is homogenized and nothing ever changes again. Time itself, in a sense, will cease to have meaning, for all processes that mark the passage of time will have stopped.
Entropy, then, is not merely a law of physics. It is the curtain call of existence.
As energy spreads out everything is torn apart and becomes more chaotic due to bonds between elements being seperated... Large heavenly bodies go through phase changes melting and burn up and dissolve and dissipate into disorder losing the shape and purpose of their creation. That is what the Bible says will happen in the end times. This creates a void, and "outer darkness" or "hell" where the death of creation exists as space and time fall apart in this universe.
Jude 1:13
wild waves of the sea, casting up the foam of their own shame; wandering stars, for whom the gloom of utter darkness has been reserved forever.
Matthew 8:12
while the sons of the kingdom will be thrown into the outer darkness. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth."
Matthew 25:30
And cast the worthless servant into the outer darkness. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’
Yet promises were made...
2 Peter 3:13
But according to his promise we are waiting for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.
Revelation 21:1
Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more.
Revelation 13:8
and all who dwell on earth will worship it, everyone whose name has not been written from the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who was slain.
So a new universe is created by God with a new earth to house the righteousness...
That obviously lends itself to scientific theories of the multiverse and the ideas of the many-worlds interpretation of quantum mechanics where all possible outcomes of quantum measurements actually occur each in its own separate branching universe. In the Bible, the righteous go to the good universe where life continues on and the unrighteous end up in the dead universe of destruction. New heavens is plural in the Bible, so we can't conclude how many outcomes are possible...
As to the atheists that had their feelings hurt... Science doesn't care about your feelings pal. I don't see the atheists touching much on science here, there are just a bunch of emotional reactionary responses rather than logical arguments. Meanwhile those who put in the work are the scientists that investigate claims they see in the Bible and come to conclusions that align with the Bible after review of the evidence...
www.youtube.com/watch
That is called "hell on Earth".
There’s also no scientific proof that gods don’t exist. Any atheist who invokes “science” to support their beliefs is a moron. Anyone who is even vaguely familiar with the scientific method knows that you can’t prove that something doesn’t exist. You can’t prove the negative. That’s a scientific fact. Furthermore, those who scoff at anecdotal evidence are equally dumb. Anecdotal evidence IS evidence. It’s not just evidence, it’s THE evidence against which all other evidence is weighted. Without anecdotal evidence, there is no empirical evidence.
The only thing worse than a dumb person is a dumb person who thinks they’re smart. 100% of atheists who spend any amount of time arguing with religious people and trying to convince others that they know anything are the dumbest people who ever thought they were smart.
1 Explain morality. Without something to set an inherent morality and the concept of something being "good" or "evil" it would be impossible to say what either is
2 Explain Life. Not the meaning, the fact. It's impossible to explain Life scientifically. Take nothing, do nothing to it in a perfect vacuum - which itself is impossible to create because everything exists - and wait until the universe comes spontaneously into existence.
It takes more faith to believe there isn't a God that created everything than it does to believe there is.
Lol the proof of God is everywhere. Animals, trees, you, the very fact that anything exists is proof. Heck even math can prove God. There are 3 things atheist have issues with that destroys their position.
EXPLAIN how everything began if there is no God, whats the point of existence. Why are we even here why is anything here. To make children pay bills and die? also what happens when you die.
Life is meaningless without God. When an artist creates art he himself gives meaning to its creation.
Saying God doesn’t exist is against science because everything has a beginning. God can’t have a beginning because something has ro be the one that has no beginning or else nothing would exist because there’s no one to create it.
What they say doesn't really matter to me to be honest they can believe or not believe whatever they wish to. They can no more prove his existence then they can disprove it which is that they can in reality prove/disprove neither.
To me he is real and I have my own experiences that prove that to myself.
And I myself am as much of a man of science as I am faith. Having been to school and studying multiple scientific fields of study, anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, biomechanics, cardiovascular theory, muscle mechanics to name a few so I am no stranger to science.
To believe in God the most important part is faith. Having faith means there is no concrete proof.
A fortune cookie once said: faith is seeing a stream and knowing there is an ocean.
Look around you…. There are so many amazing things to think that the beauty of a flower is caused by a series of random mutations.
To think that people are just caused by random mutations, and yet… we can tame and use animals that are much bigger then us like the orca, dolphin, elephant…. Etc… too much amazing stuff in the universe to say it was all accidental.
That is funny trolling. I smile. that is like saying 'no tangible evidence about a history event nor for dark matter' but sillier like 'my radio doesn't play visible light!' So deny visible light! So really just silly. atheism is so pathetic. that is why they fail to attract followers!
In simple words the wrong tool won't work.
I just think they are dumb. I think deep down they know there is but they just do not want accountability and they just do not want to think about it and that one day they will stand before God and give account of their life. That there is justice. All evil will be punished. No one gets away with anything.
Religion is reached from books that where man written and rewritten many many times. Therefore you can automatically assume that they are written with the purpose of steering the crowd all in the same direction. I believe religion is a ancient form of mind control to control the population
If there is no God, then there is nor point in life and any desire i want to do even if its legal or illegal's is allow.
And any human can create their own rules that can broke each other rules.
With no God there is no reson for any human to respect anything then what thei belive themselves is worthy.
i'm an atheist so if i put myself in the mind of a religious person, my thought would be: well duh, it wouldn't need "faith" or "believe" if it could just be known through factual evidence. me being an atheist doesn't quite unerstand why one would choose to do the faith/believe thing but to each their own, i guess.
When I hear that, I think the Atheists are right and I think the religiots are going to respond with hilariously bad twisted logic and lies to defend their belief in their fake god because that's what cults do.
I can understand why atheists don't believe in God, because things in the bible make no sense or don't apply to real life situations, if the bible wasn't full of so much hypocrisy and lies then maybe there wouldn't be so many atheists in the world.
I agree because this statement is true. Maybe god or gods exist but I'm sure they aren't like common religions imagine them or they care for prayer and worship
Each to their own. Not many people believe in God so belief comes from within. I believe in God, it doesn’t matter that I don’t have actual proof of it.
You call five billion not many!
I hope it’s 5b. The more the merrier I say!
When you seek Him as He has mentioned in scripture, you will eventually be provided with that proof. Once that happens, your whole life will never be the same again.
@Truthatanycost there's no need to capitalize him and he like some kind of retard
I agree with them, because there isn't any. So what's your point? That hasn't stopped anyone from believing in God, or a God, or Gods, or religions. I'm simply agreeing that science can't prove or disprove it, at least not at THIS point in time.
I've been going through some real scary supernatural stuff. In my mind I'm like wait till your in my place 😁😅.
i dont see the point most of the time
like i'm an atheist/agnostic or whatever, but i'm not gonna be a debbie downer by bringing down religion for others lol i just don't care
They're absolutely correct!! All I ask is that he shows up to prove he exists and, so far, that's NEVER happened!! It's pretty much the same reason I no longer believe in Santa Claus or the Easter bunny.
It's okay to have an opinion. I just don't like when atheists try to enforce this opinion on you. I respect your opinion and expect you to respect mine.
"Where are my headphones? I thought I just put them in my pocket, but... ah... here they are... Bye bye noise."
Explain how all major animal groups suddenly appeared in the fossil record during the Cambrian explosion.
That they're right. I mean, there has to be something more relevant than basing one's entire existence on a book that's 3000 years old.
I agree with that assessment.
It is not possible to prove nor disprove the existence of any deities.
G0d does not need to be defended. All of creation is proof. To disprove Glad exists, show me a place where no creation exists. To help you out, G0d created time and space.
That they are absolutely right. The only proof ever offered is either some holy book, or circular arguments like "something had to create all this".
I am an atheist, so nothing goes through my mind, regarding "scientific proof God exists"
Every religion is based on beliefs, not scientific evidence. That there is no scientific evidence for the existence of God is meaningless.
Nothing. Everyone is entitled to their own beliefs
Let them believe what they want to believe , no skin off my back ,
It’s true but my thoughts depend on the context in which it’s brought up
It doesn't bother me too much but I always try to ask questions on their beliefs and try to persuade. I can see how annoying that is but yea. God is real. No doubt
Pure logic.
Existence of such creature breaks all the natural laws (physics, chemistry, biology), plus there is an omnipotence paradox, and the paradox of evil.
Nothing. That's like saying water is wet. It's just a simple statement of fact.
More than is going through their smooth brain, clearly.
That I feel sorry for them that they haven’t seen the light. Also there is plenty of evidence that Jesus was here. The Bible is The handbook.
Waste of magic making beings made of words and names and the EVEN more messed up part not all words makes them complete with something hanging down there
It does not matter if there is proof or not. This is why it is called faith.
To every atheist reading this, here’s your answer.
https://www.youtube.com/embed/4QH7T5KfKkcI think they are crazy, and I don't want to talk to them.
Atheists are the smart ones. Believers on average are less intelligent. To answer the question, they are correct. Nothing really goes through my mind except "I agree."
i know that they’re a person with more than 5 iq. tbh only stupid people or people who wants a coping mechnism believe in a religion.
I do not care. I cannot conceive of a self-existent reality that experiences entropy.
They should learn about Emanuel Swedenborg and near death experiences. Emanuel was born in 1688. There r 6 things Emanuel said that people who hav had current near death experiences hav said.
Everyone who holds an opinion must have evidences or proofs to back it up.
He or she is a idiot.
In all creation one can clearly see the works of the Most High.
@Snowman84 : Look at creation.
How people use “god” as a weapon or an excuse to do harm to others. Cause people said god thought it would be a good idea.
That they are correct.
I say smart people rely on evidence not mythology
They are entitled to their opinion.
They sound sensible and grounded in fact
They're right!!
I think who cares.
I agree with them
That science isn't concerned with theology.
God is scam...
God doesn't exist
That they might be right :/
They’re right. You have to have faith.
