Using the individual as the link is a weak argument. A fare hike is a purely economic decision and a budget issue. Claiming that the Mayor will implement Sharia law just because he is Muslim is absurd. I live in Türkiye a majority Muslim nation and even here, if a mayor suggested that Sharia rules were coming or that the Quran would be played over PAs, they would face massive backlash. It’s simply not applicable. Religion is a personal matter. Giving New Yorkers a choice between "Prop 25 or Sharia" is nothing more than blatant trolling.
