Am I weird if I feel this way about death?

As a believer, I do not cry at funerals because I do not believe anyone actually dies. I believe their soul gets teleported to a new dimension where they live forever in either happiness or sorrow, based on how God rewards or punishes them for the way they lived on earth. The bible says if you suffered on earth, God will be more likely to forgive all your sins when you die and let you immediately into heaven. It’s not in the Protestant bible but it’s in the Catholic bible. And Job says, the rare and extremely pious might be granted a painless death at a satisfyingly old age, before they die and go to Heaven.

I believe the same as you mostly. I don't believe anyone dies , we just will "wake up" in our true soul form to realize Earth was the dream all along. I believe we believe in the same God. Mostly. From what I have read in your posts there's not too much difference between us except you believe the Bible is the word of God. I believe the Bible is the word of Man. I do respect everyone elses beliefs tho and I really like your questions. Ty.

Catholic and protestants use the same bible just interpret it differently, mostly regarding going through purgatory or not. At one time people believed it was better to suffer in your dying days as this shortened your stay in purgatory.

People don't cry because they don't believe in an afterlife, it's because they'll miss the person and know plans they had together will never happen

I to am a believer but I cry for my family and friend and sometimes for people of senseless death

Because I will miss a great person who were great people
And as for the people I didn't know that died. That was senseless they were innocent and die for know other reason that someone that was un happy took there life and I cried because I feel what there family is feeling

No that's not weird. This might sound stupid but I do believe that the Earth is Hell. If you look around the earth is full of a lot of horrible things. Like war, killers, rape, kid nappers etc. The bible says we are all sinners. God basically put use all in hell. With all this temptation to see if we survive. Yes I believe God forgives our sins but only small ones. Those are the people he does take to a place where he promised internal life after death. Those that commit bigger sins, there spirit just stays here forever. So in a way I believe no one really dies either.
