Is Beer proof God loves us?

This question was inspired by @On_cloud_nine who mentioned that Monks drank beer while Fasting. (<--- Article about Monks drinking beer while fasting)

It made me realize just how spiritual I have been all this time without even realizing it! 😇

And it just makes me wonder, Is beer proof God loves us?

It depends. I haven't read enough about scripture to had a solid foundation in what I want to say here but one verse that sticks out is the verse "Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God." This verse by corinthians never exclusively saids that all drinking is prohibited but becoming enslaved to it and falling drunk to it is where problems start spiritually. Like with sex its contextual and depends, its best not to here as its never argued to be a wholesome thing like sex is in marriage so its a grey choice until it becomes drunkeness, even psychologically drunkeness can cause people to make bad choices, act recklessly, have poor judgment with people and challenges in life. The thing is alcohol like any other stimulant is man-made from earth and not inherently pure like the fruit of the garden of Eden or God himself, neer can be appreciated but shouldn't be seen as wholey important. Until recently water wasn't safe to drink. Beer is how Europeans made a safe drink and I'm absolutely sure it had nothing to do with thousands of years of war on the continent. Those nice monks were saving people from dysentery. Wine, mead, beer, all made by merry monks.

If you really want to taste Jesus then I recommend Buckfast, lovingly made by men of god combining 15% alcohol with holy herbs and caffeine.

I drank beer twice, once in high school and once in college. It's the most disgusting thing I ever drank! God must have been drunk off his ass when he created it!

My initial encounter with beer, exactly. But I have since learned that there is a huuuge variety in beer tastes. Most, especially malty beers, I still don’t like. But a cold Beck‘s on a hot day is not a bad thing. 😀

@Beckybooboo I would argue you started too early. Young ladies like sweet things, your taste buds had not matured sufficiently. But then again, beer is bad for you.

I have seen that quote before but did not know it was from Ben Franklin When Ben Franklin was Ambassador to France he got drunk on night and sent a toilet seat to hos girlfriend and a note that said "For the part of you I love the most." Only he said it in French.

Nah but the luxury proved it. Cows eat grass day after day! But our tongues can enjoy a vast variety of flavors different sweets of various fruits! That proved god's LOVE to add pleasure to our basic eating.
