Does extreme wealth and greed increase the risk of mental illness?

I learned through Google, that rich people who buy Ferraris and Lamborghini’s while robbing disabled homeless people, always develop behavioural problems, family problems, or mental health problems.

The relationship between economic abuse and mental illness is the reason suicide rates among very rich people is so much higher than suicide rates among middle class or working class people.

By very rich, I mean those earning over 4 million a year, who are not involved in medical jobs where you might help people, and are not giving a single penny to poor people as a way to show gratitude to God for their good fortune.

Wealth wouldn't be that much of a factor. Some people just accrue wealth. They have habits that cause them to accumulate a lot of money. Im sure that many who cursed the rich as time went on became wealthy themselves. Greed definitely would show mental issues though. . If you're greedy enough it's a pathology. Your greed is indicating something wrong deeper down.

Love to see your source on this. Overall, research does not show that very rich people have higher rates than middle- or working-class people.

My therapist says I'm at risk of mental illness and I'm totally dirt poor and not greedy at all! 😊

And I think maybe why rich people commit suicide is 'cuz they realize money can't buy love or happiness.

I think mental illness causes the greed and such moreso than they cause it. Most people who are very wealthy are actually quite happy and often able to stress less about things than other humans after a certain point.
