I been seeing what's going on in places like NYC, London etc and it's getting way out of hand. I'm all for freedom of religion but not when that religion is being forced on to others. these people see dogs as dirty and don't mind their own business and expect western countries to bene to their way when we aren't in the meddle east. If Islam ever makes its way to were I live I won't apologize for for owing a dog, eating pork and covering up.

647 opinions shared on Religion & Spirituality topic. How is Islam being "forced" on "NYC, London etc"?
How is it "getting way out of hand"?
THIS:
"I'm all for freedom of religion but not when that religion is being forced on to others. "
So, I assume then that you don't like that, as Americans, we...
1. ... have to "In God We Trust" on our money.
2. ... say "under God" in The Pledge of Allegiance; it was added to the original pledge in 1954.
3. ... businesses close early on Sundays, you often can't get alcohol on Sundays, and the US Post Office is closed on Sundays since 1912.
4. ... being overwhelmed with Christmas messaging and Christmas music taking over our radio stations and Christmas specials on TV etc...
All of that annoying religion "being forced on to" those who don't believe. Freedom of religion, sure, to have our collective culture manipulated and forcing those who don't believe to suffer because of it... That's unamerican!14 Reply
Asker1 moLast time I checked we don't make people say the pledge of allegiance if you don't want to then sit and let those who do.
USA was founded on Christian values so in God we trust is why it's there that has to do with the founders of America.
You don't have give your money to a business that don't A-line with your values so if a business closes on Sunday then stop giving them your money problem solve as far as the usps goes it's a government business meaning their close week ends/ part time Saturday.
Christmas and worship media is easy change/ turn off.
I been around Christians even when they asked if you know Jesus if you say I'm not interested most will leave you alone.

Actually the USA was NOT founded on Christian values. It was founded based on the values in New York which was originally a Dutch colony. The Dutch didn't give a shit about people's religion; alI they cared about is money and trading. And the Founding Fathers knew this and saw how successful New York was functioning without religious crap, that they used those principles in establishing the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. This is why there is the Establishment Clause and Free Exercise clause at the very beginning of the First Amendment.
Plenty of non- muslims also think dogs are dirty and many muslims also love dogs and are good dog owners. Same thing applies to your other points. I’ve been around muslims my entire life (i’m an atheist) and i’ve lived in different countries among muslims too. The community is far more diverse than what you assume. Hell my muslim friends even do coke, drink, and have 3some. You’re hyper focus on muslims when it comes to behaviors you don’t like because you simply are biased. If you’re Islamphobic just say so.

Asker1 moYeah I don't see them trying to ban dogs from the public unlike the Muslims who see them as dirty it's one thing to ban a dog from your home but the public is not an option. I'm not down with the way they treat women in their culture/ country obviously talking about the men.
- 1 mo
Lol i’m sure there are non muslims that want to ban dogs in public. Like i said, you are biased and been living in your own bubble. And by the way if you’re talking about seperation between religion and government, you should look into your own community first. Not saying how women are treated in the middle east is right, i’m saying you are unfairly accusing a group of people doing exactly the same thing many people in your country and government is doing. I guess it’s easier to point fingers and blame someone else for the shitshow that been happening in NY
Asker1 moNY's leadership is trash thanks to their mayor Zohran Mamdain and all left wing leaders thankfully I don't live there. last time I checked I haven't seen/ heard any religious leaders in the white house how is religion and government not separate it?
- 1 mo
Lmfao there are no religious candidates in the white house? Dude the entire white house is made up of right wing ultra religious Christian politicians that imposes their religion into policies. Alright let’s end the conversation here because google is free and since you refuse to use it i see no point talking to you. You’re either very ignorant, very stupid, or a troll.

Israel and Zionism are having a far bigger influence in Western countries and their drive to war, than "Islam" is.
Follow the money and you'll find most of the costs are going towards Israeli ends, than any others.

Asker1 moI been see that on you tube
m 1 moI doubt Islam ever makes its way to USA though, USA is a loan based civilization whereas Islam forbids loan lol, you see the problem

Asker1 moThere in NY witch is part of the USA

Then I wonder how they manage to avoid contracting any loan, that's impressive

To answer your question about influence here though, some Muslims are clearly the new bigots in town, replicating the old school Catholics who I believe were gradually disappearing. So it's a bit of a let down to see a second wave of religious conservatism popping up where I wanted to see more openness

Asker1 moHow so?
Asker1 moWe have Christian schools for those who want Jesus instilled in their kids education for this reason to keep the peace with non believers I don't think you have worried about that. You don't have to live in a state that doesn't A-line with your values no ones making you stay.
Asker1 moSo your scared of a 16 year old girl who wants prayer in school? Look this took place in the Bible belt TX and Public schools can't please everyone if anything her parents should of put her in a Christian school were she could of had school prayer without the abuse from others who don't agree with them.

You didn't look at the article did you? Jessica Ahlquist was a high school student in Rhode Island. The high school had a prominent banner displaying some Christian message and she asked them to remove it as it was blatantly unconstitutional. They refused, she contacted the ACLU who filed a suit. The good Christians of her community made death threats against Jessica and her family.
Asker1 moI red part of it. While I don't agree with what people did to her she was never focused to stay if she wasn't happy because of the Christian message she and her parents could of found a other school.
Asker1 moNo religion/ GOD in public schools wasn't always the case. I told you I don't agree with what these people did to her and her family. I will never understand why someone will stay in a place were they are being bully, abuse etc. for any reason cause I wouldn't. Could the school handle it better yes
- 1 mo
And the loving Christians were so understanding and agreed that a public school was not a proper place to display a Bible verse? No, they became violent. You wouldn't stay? What would you do? Just sell the house and move to another school district? There is no "just", that is insanely expensive and disruptive. Of course the district lost in court and had to pay the plaintiffs attorneys, as they always do.
Asker1 moI would of found another school a little farer but still close by and drive there if the bus wasn't able to go that far.
Asker1 moI'm not scared of a message that I don't agree with
