What did Jesus mean by ‘you cannot serve both God and money’?

I believe Jesus meant, that if you worship money, the money will corrupt you, by contaminating your moral judgment so that you lose the ability to know what is good and what is evil.

Like I have met people who worship money that believe Donald Trump represents Jewish or Christian values.

I have met people who worship money that say it is okay for 13 year old girls to date 27 year old men.

I have met people who worship money that make fun of family members with health problems and try to rob them instead of trying to help them get better.

I have met people who worship money that lie 80% of the time and tell the truth 20% of the time.

I have met people who worship money that try to murder the girls who reject them, because they are angry those girls have more money than them.

Well God just look at the planet everything on here is real everything on here is energy everything on here came from him except for money money is man-made and money is fake really it's printed up left and right to keep us the little people going to keep giving our faith money to our government so they can keep using it any which way they want to we pay to live here and be abused and not have the American dream anymore we're not going to get any of it back

So for one thing you worship either money because that's what you need to live and that's what you think makes you have status in the world or you can have God

I really don't know because there's a collection plate passed around at every church service I've ever been to, and that covers quite a few denominations
