Does my dream about costly miracles explain why they’re so rare?

I had a dream where God told me that God could perform miracles, but His miracles were costly, and came at a high price. Which means, before a big miracle happens, a big sacrifice must be made. Either you make the sacrifice, or God makes the sacrifice for you.

It doesn’t have to be costly, just seemingly so at the time. Letting go of a belief that once protected you, but now is holding you back, could feel like a huge sacrifice. But the freedom it gives you is indeed a miracle. God doesn’t necessarily have to be interpreted as religious; just something that has a profound effect on you but seems out of reach.
