If there’s an afterlife, can departed loved ones actually interact with us?

Okay, I know some people do believe that our spirit lives on after the death of our physical bodies. But do you think the spirits of the departed have ways interacting with the living?

Like maybe they can induce a vision?

When we dream of deceased loved ones, is that actually their soul interracting with us versus just our minds making it up?

Or perhaps something as subtle as a feeling of hope when you're feeling down.

Or do the spirits of those who passed exist on another plane entirely?

There is precisely zero evidence that our consciousness survives the death of our physical bodies. There has never been any reliably repeatable evidence of anyone ever communicating with the consciousness of any dead person. If it exists it it currently beyond our understanding and ability to navigate whatever barrier exists. Different dimensions, we're living in a simulation, we're living in a black hole, we're living a multiverse, Heaven and Hell... it's all speculation and fear of death so far.

The only thing science has (sort of) proven is conservation of information (quantum physics). Data cannot be destroyed, only altered (we think). So when we die our energy and physical components go back into the universe somewhere in some form. But that does not mean any of that matter and energy exist in any form that could ever be reconstituted as you or me. You'd need a perfect map of "you" at some moment in time to rebuild you at some point in the future. Otherwise you'd have all the parts but no assembly instructions. And that is essentially where we sit at the moment.

Wow. That aligns with my thoughts. I've always said nature isn't wasteful as things usually get recycled and reused somehow (like rain/water/condensation cycles) so I've always said j think the energy that gives us life, the spark, leaves us and is the "power" that is recycled and used to create a new life but it doesn't gave any of "us" attached to that energy. Not memories or anything like that. I cannot imagine otherwise how something like that spark of life would just cease to exist otherwise. Even our bodies are broken down and reused to nurture to earth. Nothing wasteful in nature.

When I was 14 my older sister was killed in a car accident. A few days after that I saw her in my house only for about 10 seconds and then she was gone. I think she came back to say goodbye.
Yes there is an afterlife and I believe if there is unfinished business they can comeback for a short time.

no and no. the only way someone can effect you when they passed is through your memory of them in the sense that you're emulating their character to inform your own decision. but that's really not "them" when it comes down to it. that's your idea of them.
