i would like to visit where Scarlett Johansson went in Lost in Translation and i would like to go to the giant Buddha hand in Guangdong Province
The shrines are in Kyoto, I'm pretty sure. You can barely turn a corner without running into one. Can recommend it, ideally off-tourist season. It's hard to find inner peace amid hundreds of noisy folk. Nearby Nara is the classic must-visit religious site, worth a trip too if you like 50ft buddha. Train trip is through green tea fields.
I'm not religious, at all. I am an athiest.
However, there was a period of time where my girlfriend at the time wanted to start going to church, and I went with her. I wanted to be supportive, and show that I was there for her, and encouraging of her beliefs, even though I didn't share them.
If being forced to church as a kid when I was an atheist before I could even remember counts then yes.
You could say primary school counts since they'd class them selves as a Christian school don't mind the irony that half were Muslim who'd complain and get excused and I'd imagine that's only increased further today.
I tried to get excused by saying I'm Muslim since atheist did not work that also didn't work despite the fact you are whatever religion you say you are.
It's one of the typical visits on a touristy vacation. I have visited Christian (Catholic/Protestant), Jewish, Islamic, Buddhist and Hindu places of worship.
I was born a Catholic, but I became Dewish after going to the Mountain Dew machine, praying to it, pressing the button to select it and... lo and behold... I would often get multiple cans!
Not for religious purposes since I'm an atheist, but I've been to plenty of churches and cathedrals
they have nice decorations
I have never been to a mosque, synagogue, or temple. I've been to other Christian churches, but that's about it.
Surely do. Mainly European cathedrals (good exercise summiting belfries) and japanese shrines.
I have been in a Jewish Temple several times. I had many Jewish friends growing up.
I went to a synagogue of Satan twice. For my friends Bar mitzvah and Bot Mitzvah
I have visited the church several times.
yes... because I'm agnostic
Yes just as sightseeing activity.
No, I'm not religious.
No i’m a none believer.
I never have.
