I would say the root cause of sin among religious leaders is mismatched priorities or priority orders. These people have religious priorities, but their priorities are in the wrong order.

Like I know hard working people who do charity, but they do not understand that regarding people with equality and respect is more important than doing charity in God’s kingdom.
