How can I cope as a Christian fearing my online friend has died?

I am a Christian on the spectrum and I believe my online friend passed away. I haven’t heard from them for a while and they’ve been offline on all social medias. I’ve prayed to my lord and savior to just give me a sign and have me find comfort, but I have not felt better or gotten any signs that he’s okay or not okay. I also want to know if anyone else thinks my friend has died. I know it’s hard to tell especially online though, but please ask any questions and I’ll answer them.
