I have been doing spiritual meditation brain cooling in my right insular cortex for around 7 years now or more, and the strange thing is, the brain cooling happens even in my sleep, which means it might happen over 20 or 22 hours in a day, and it is intense brain cooling as well.
I am not sure what the right insular cortex area of the brain does, or why the spirit of God is so focused on cooling that one particular area of the brain, but I do notice intellectual changes in my behaviour since the spiritual meditation brain cooling became more intense and lasting.
Like my hand eye coordination seems to have improved, as well as the smoothness of my physical movements, I seem to be better at moderating high threshold pain such as the pain of eating raw garlic or spicy raw onions etc..

It's kinda the place where your emotional state and thoughts mix. If you know anyone with mental health problems such as depression, anxiety, or addiction issues, then there's often a problem with the insular cortex. Same with those people who always get in trouble because they can't seem to regulate their emotions or grasp you can't do stuff just because you feel like it.
As for changing the temperature all you really can do is calm it down so it's less active. Some might do this through prayer or meditation, others by going for a walk or talking to someone.
