Religion should not be like a sandwich but is. agreed?

most people keep "whichever" faith, of various religions, that parents taught.

it is like: school food offers various sandwiches. Larry, is not in the mood of a meatball sandwich. so he asked school staff for another one.

but harry took tuna as usual. when server offered 'try meatball sandwich' harry said, 'bug off! i have a sandwich.'

server: but yours is tuna.

harry: i always eat tuna.

same mary took one: want meatball?

mary: i have a sandwich.

it is peanut butter not beef. but she has a sandwich. same for other kids various sandwiches: they have one already. they don't think beef is better. they just have one already.

most people: that is religion.

They are in the habit of going to church or mosque or temples of various faiths. or not going- just celebrating certain festivals. they are not interested in a different one. just because they have one already.

people won't even check if a different one is better because -

in religion they say 'i already have one'. it is like a sandwich.

but faith should be inspected is it self contradictory? do the teachers teach different from the holy book?

Or the holy book is immoral or harmful? how has whatever book been interpreted by original students? or which religion is better than my parents' ones?

it should not be like a sandwich. agreed?

I think once you get to a certain age you need to experience God for yourself at wherever you find Him is what matters. Having that relationship with God is more important that the name of the religion.

experience God? god hides. nobody is holy enough to interact in any way.
you say relationship like talking to an imaginary friend?
you can only interact via some religious book?
