Does Ben Sira really promise God will repay hopeless acts of justice?

Ben Sira says if you fight with justice even when you know you cannot win, that God will fight for you in your own battles later on. Examples include a parent that sells their house to pay for their kids cancer treatment knowing their kid is terminal and will die anyway, God might defend that parent later on when an enemy tries to file a law suit against them on false grounds.

God always fights for us irrespective of what we can or cannot do. But I do believe good deeds are rewarded.
