Ben Sira says the lover of gold will not be free from sin, what are your thoughts about this?

I think the worst people I've met are those obsessed with spending money and the nicest people I've met were the ones who were obsessed with giving money away to others.

I am not trying to mock poor people or those that cannot afford to give money away, I know billionaire children who chose to devote their lives to physically serving the poor in third world countries, rather than donating their mansions or cars to charity. It is perfectly acceptable to give your time to a cause and not your money to a cause.
