What does the Bible really mean when it says God will restore you?

Did you know the bible says God will restore you?

The bible says, if you repent, I will restore you that you may serve me, which means God can restore you if you renounce your ways,

And you might say, I can’t stop sinning, I was born a sinner and I am going to continue sinning until you die.

The bible says, that nobody living is righteous before God,

So God is not saying he won’t restore you until you are perfect,

God is saying, if you renounce the sins that you have the ability to renounce,

And if you make progress against the sins you have not fully renounced yet,

That God will restore you to your former state.

Like, I have not given up my personal anger at being insulted yet,

But I can give up my desire to avenge myself when I neglect the welfare

ff those who provoke me with their insults and lies as an act of revenge for being insulted by them

So I did not renounce all my sins

But I renounced some of them

And God has begun to restore me, if I have not been restored already

Without knowing it

Because I renounced some of my sins

And made progress against the sins

I did not renounce

What does the Bible really mean when it says God will restore you?
