Is it logically impossible for there to be more than one God or a divine Trinity?

For the purpose of Cosmological Arguments and Ontological Arguments, God is defined as that Being which is the First Cause.

God cannot create a true clone of himself, because the clone would always lack at least one Divine attribute of God. For example, the Clone could not be the First Cause.

Likewise for you Christians, Jesus contradicts himself in many ways, claiming to "come out from God" in one passage, but claiming to be equal to the Father and one and the same as the Father in another passage. This is a contradiction, because Jesus, who is allegedly the "Son of God" in the alleged Trinity, cannot be "God" because God is the First Cause, while the Son of God cannot be the First Cause.

So even if God had a "Son or Daughter," the Son or Daughter of God could not be equal to God, because they'd fail to be the First Cause, thereby lacking at least one attribute of the True God.

Either you can believe in One Creator God, or you can believe in no Gods (you'd be wrong here though,) but you definitely cannot believe in a plurality of "gods," because only one Being can be the First Cause.

Then if you go with what Isaiah states in his book in the Hebrew Bible, he point blank states, "There was no God formed before Yahweh, no Savior besides Yahweh, and there shall be no God after Yahweh."

This scripture logically agrees with the argument I made above. Either there is one true God, or there is no true God, but there are not "many gods".

Now what is an Ontological Argument?

1) God, as we understand Him, is a Being than which no greater Being can be conceived.

2) A Being which exists in reality is greater than a being which exists only in the mind.

3) Therefore, we can't be imagining God.

4) Therefore, God exists.

You'll note that this argument does not ascribe "magical" attributes to God. It simply defines God in point 1 as the Greatest Conceivable Being. Since the GCB cannot be imaginary, then God most certainly exists in reality.

Obviously There can only be One God. Otherwise we would be living in the Iliad, with various "gods" fucking around.

As for the "trinity" it isn't a Christian concept. But one brought over from Greek pagan beliefs and show horned into "Christ cult" thinking.

Many early Christ cults were monotheist, and anti-Church. They didn't believe in a clergy being an "intermediary" to God.

Jesus himself, nor his family and half-brothers, were Christians.

The Trinity is flat out not a Biblical concept to begin with. Not only does it never appear in the Bible, but when a Jewish leader called Jesus "Good", Jesus shut him down and told him there was only ONE who was good, and that was the Father. Thus, the Jesus of the Synoptic Gospels denied being sinless.

god can make a new form or appearance but as isaiah said no god can start later. logically it is impossible for there to be more than one God or more than one divine Trinity. only one unity called trinity. no other being could possibly be god.

I didn't think so after I went to a polytheistic country, but the some Dominican Republican guy on THIS webesite explained, that there is only one true god and the rest are demons. Makes sense to me, especially if you look at how they're worshipped

Jews reject the Trinity, as it contradicts the literal reading of the First Commandment. It also contradicts Numbers 23:19 "God is not a man... nor a Son of Man..."

Jesus actually contradicted the claim that they are all one being in one of the Gospels. He stated that he did not have the power to determine who should sit on either side of him in "heaven". So if he was really "God in the flesh" he couldn't have been telling the truth either way.

You need to realize Jesus and his disciples were all false prophets, just like the Dalai Lama today.

i used to be a rabbi. we LIED to our students that christians believe god has 3 parts. but that was a lie.

STORY: when i was doing rabbi training i read the famous debate of nakmanides.
the sinner =a jew who went to christian -debated. "wine has scent and taste and color. it is not separate parts that is how to understand god'
the jew leader had NO REPLY to this.
and i dared to point out to my leaders 'that is not what they believe' but sadly-
talking does not help.
rabbis ONLY disagree by warping sources.
to quote my 'expert anti missionary' professor 'the smartest jews are switching to christian' that means who is not switching... hmm?

@strateguy632 I was a christian for the first 36 years of my life. Attended leading denominational and non-denominational protestant churches. one of the leading doctrines fo the Christian Church is that God is in fact 3 alleged persons at the same time. In fact, they attempt to refute any "oneness" doctrine and call you a heretic if you don't believe in a "triune God".

It should be noted that the term "Trinity" never appears in the Bible, nor should it. It is a completely PAGAN concept and has nothing to do with the Hebrew God.

You should re-read Deuteronomy 6:4, because the doctrine of the Trinity is a direct contradiction to that verse.

I've already been to Hell one time. God kicked me out for being Good.

I can tell you, there are going to be billions of "christians" in Hell. They claim to believe a dead man is God, but they can't even name two books of their own bible, and cannot rationally argue for the existence of God. They sometimes even claim to "know God", but can't present any rational basis for their claim.

I at least have seen real Angels on at least two occasions that I know of, and they are in fact armored and armed with a flaming sword. I can't imagine what a spiritual being fights that it actually needs real weapons and armor, but I can assure you no human being is a threat to them.

If Adam was in fact the First Man, and God came before Adam, Obviously, because God created the entire Universe, then obviously God is not a man. He cannot be a man.

In fact, 1 Kings 8:27: But will God indeed dwell on the earth? behold, the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less this house that I have builded?

That immediately contradicts Paul's claim that "The entirety of the Godhead dwells in Christ."

Solomon, who was the wisest man who ever lived, stated that heaven and even the "Heaven of HEavens" cannot contain God.

Paul, who rejects all wisdom by the way, claims that Jesus was in fact the "Entirety of the Godhead on Earth" (Colossians 2:9). This is clearly a LIE. In fact, the Gospels Jesus even rejected this claim on multiple occasions.

the Biblical Jesus braided a whip on two occasions and whipped the priests and money changers out of the Jewish Temple, because they were making merchandise in the Temple. Don't you know he'd do the same thing to all modern Christians if he were here in the flesh?
