As a Christian, I find being indulgent with food or money makes me feel less happy, it does not make me more happy.
Today I went to Mandarin Buffet for a birthday celebration, and when I came home, I was depressed, and I know the depression was caused by the fact I ate a gluttonous meal for lunch.
It was just like last time when I got a lot of money and spent it on books I did not have time to read, and I became depressed for being indulgent with money on things I do not need.
The happiest times in my life were the times where I spent the least amount of money on indulgences and things I do not need.
