In the lords prayer is it debts, trespasses, or sins?

There's actually a couple of versions in the bible and of course the one you know would have been translated and adapted by your local church.

One interesting difference is whether we ask God to forgive our debts, trespasses, or sins.

So out of curiosity, which one are you familiar with?

Translated to English 'trespasses' is closest.
The German version/s leave room for interpretation. Pronounce it slightly different, and it becomes something like: ''Forgive our trespasses in the same manner as we forgive them to others.''
This can be seen as a reminder, or as a warning.

I learned trespasses asa a kid, and later learned that trespasses is a fancy word for sins

does it really matter, it's all about the forgiveness aspect and the only switch up is for the ability for one to relate. sins, trespasses, debts, all the same idea.
