For those who want prayer in schools, is it restricted to just one religion?

I always want to know why they want to post The Ten Commandments everywhere, but never The Beatitudes. Love angry, punitive, Old Testament God; but no love for kind, compassionate New Testament Jesus?

As respectfully as I can say this, I feel like a lot of so-called Christians are into it as far as using it to justify their own hatred and disdain towards others; that’s where Old Testament God comes in. Jesus just exists to be their permission slip of forgiveness for their earthly misdeeds.

Persecute-and-repent, using God and Jesus as a crutch for each, respectively. I don’t think that’s all Christians. But the real holy rollers seem to subscribe to that, and don’t really use their faith properly to make them better people, personally.

You may be surprised to learn in the UK schools are legally required to hold a daily act of worship of a Christian character. As for kids of other religions they need a note from their parents to be excused.

So why can't Americans do the same? leave it up to parents if they want to pull their kids out.

I would be ok with leaving prayer out completely. Isn't there plenty of time to pray before and after school?

They don't really want "prayer" in school at all.

They want fealty to the flag under the guise of "religious protection"
