Should I tell my religious family I no longer identify as Muslim?

Right now, I don't know what to believe or not believe, but I reject Islam because it shows no respect for me. Maybe I'll change my mind later or decide to follow another religion—I can't say for sure—but the real problem is how to tell my family. They are very religious; what if they disown me or refuse to see me? Ugh.

I can not tell you what to do but if you see flaws you have to question them this is your life and even tho you are 22 you have lived a fast life in many ways you have seen more in 22 years that some women at 44 follow your heart.

Do what you believe is right sometimes you have to look at religion the same way you look at being married there's just some things you don't believe in some things that are not right so you have to leave it

It doesn't make you a bad person it makes your wise person

I cannot follow anything religious that I don't believe in God wanted us all to be spiritual people it's a lot different than being religious religious means that you have people controlling you scaring you telling you things that are not true to keep you in that Loop to keep you confused

to me spiritual is freedom and that's who we're meant to be

but that's just for me I've weighed it all out and there are seven Prophets with a denomination behind them 7 books

One prophet one book The Bible is it a code book just like the rest of them

Christianity came into play because Jesus thought it would make people more spiritual and then man got a hold of it

And turn it into something they our profiting off God

Just because I see it this way just because I feel this way doesn't mean that I'm right it just means that I'm myself and I see too many flaws in every other denomination I choose to follow God

Don't tell them. Make your own money and get your own place first, then you can live however you want. A lot of my friends do that.

Türkiye isn't really a Muslim country. For a lot of people, it's all for show. They go to Friday prayers, then it's straight back to drinking, partying, sleeping around, and doing every sinful thing imaginable. Apparently, pork is where they draw the line. Everything else is fair game. 😂

Türkiye is basically run by a coalition of Satanists pretending to be Muslims, while the people pretend to be religious.

At least people who don't follow any religion are more straightforward about what they believe. Meanwhile, so many self proclaimed religious people act like a herd of sheep, blindly following everyone else and being complete hypocrites.

Yoiu are original. I rather people tell ne who they are then rather pretending to be someone they are not. If poeple do not accept you as who you are they must be cut off even if they aren't family. Same experience happen when I told my parents I no longer believe in catholicism they got so furis. My dad throw away all my Harry Potter stuff and my Wicca books and Mormon merch I decided not to care and I went to the trash took all my stuff back in the house.

I wouldn't say anything. A girlfriend I had did this, they gave her a week to change her mind. Apparently being gay isn't as big a deal if you are a woman. She was found in the river a month later.

If you tell your family you’re confused then they will see you as such. If you know what you believe in and why its a stronger case on either side. All this be heading shit is hollywood. Worst case they will stop communicating with you. You first need to understand what direction you’re going in. I highly doubt the respect aspect is religious but more cultural but you know your situation better

Completely up to you. I don't know what Islam is like in Turkey or your family. Hopefully it's not like Afghanistan and they won't have you beheaded in the town square or disown you. But I can relate to your feelings of not being able to accept religious dogma that is just complete bullshit.

That's up to you, but you are under no obligation to tell them. If they are pressuring you to attend services or to pray with them, then you might want to tell them.
