Even as an atheist, did this joke about a priest’s death go too far?

Someone just literally joked about a priest getting killed by a falling crucifix during a mainstream Mass and people are screaming. Regardless of how religious someone is how is a man (just like us, he has loved ones too) getting killed in front of people funny? Others don't find that funny either.

I usually agree with several non-religious posts and openly declared my dislike for the bible but isn't that post going too far? Mocking someone's death. I find nothing funny about it.

I feel bad for all the people and possibly that man's loved ones that witnessed that horrible scene. I can't understand how anyone can make jokes about that.
