Is modern witchcraft dangerous, or just a trendy spiritual aesthetic?

I’ve noticed that a lot of young women seem to be getting into witchcraft, tarot cards, crystals, astrology and all things spiritual, and honestly, it worries me. I love the witchy aesthetic myself, but there’s a difference between finding something fascinating and actually getting involved in it. I believe women have a natural sixth sense and intuition, but I also believe that playing with magic is a dangerous game and can open doors to things that shouldn't be messed with.

What I've noticed is that a lot of the women getting into this seem to have had wild younger years. They've partied hard, done drugs and lived chaotic lifestyles, and then, as they get older, they suddenly seem to reinvent themselves as spiritual gurus. Suddenly, everything is about star signs, energy, manifestation, crystals, tarot readings and the universe. It's almost like they've swapped one lifestyle for another, and social media has made it look fashionable.

Buying a crystal or a deck of cards doesn't automatically make someone spiritually gifted or knowledgeable. To me, there's a difference between liking the aesthetic and understanding the beliefs and practices behind it.

I don't believe everything that looks spiritual is harmless, and I don't think these things should automatically be treated as trendy accessories or games. You can be fascinated by the mysterious and supernatural without feeling the need to experiment with it yourself. I just think people should be more aware of what they're getting into rather than following a trend because it looks pretty or makes

I've had dreams that later came true, including dreaming my sister was pregnant with a little boy a week before she found out. I've also had disturbing dreams that seemed to match real events, and everyday moments that feel like I've already dreamed them. My mum has experienced things she believes are spirits, too. I keep it all private because I don't want people thinking I'm crazy or upsetting anyone, especially when it involves something tragic, like someone's death.
