I meet a guy a few years ago. We were neighbors. He started washing my car every week. I tried to pay him and he wouldn't take the money. I then found out he was living with his girlfriend at the time. Then they moved out. Then I hear from him a few months later telling me he has crush and wants to take me out and that him and the girl he was dating broke up. But then he kept making excuses when it came time to hang out. Then when questioned I found out that he decided to go back to the same girl he was living with. Now in 2023 we happened to run into each other and reconnect and he still saying he still wants to hang out and that he knows he made a mistake before and that he and the girl ended up broking up shortly after that. However it's been almost a month since we've been in communication and he is still making plans only to cancel or take a raincheck. He asked me to be his valentines and then said oh well I have to bring you the gift I got you early cause I'm working on Valentines day. But on valentines day morning told me he would be able to come see me. Then at the last minute says he cannot get off work and has to stay late and can we go on a date this coming weekend. He is consistently making plans and then canceling or asking for a raincheck. We have yet to actually go on a date. Am I just being paranoid in thinking maybe he is still involved with someone. Am I just wasting my time thinking this guy is going to ever step up? Or does he just want to hook up and potentially ghost me afterwards?

So, this guy friend kind of invited me to his place. We're friends but he's like the "friend of a friend". I've had a crush on him for a while, not a major crush tho, though I just find him cute. He's never made a move on me, we've met in groups a few times and I assumed he was dating our mutual friend or that at least they have something going on. I've never been able to prove this tho and I didn't bother asking. But he's hinted that he's single. Long story short, he flirted with me after I posted a picture and I harmlessly flirted back. One thing led to another and he invited me over to his place to " test out something new he just got" (an inside joke). I don't mind visiting but I'm not sure if he really likes me or if he was just joking with the invite. Also, maybe he's the type who randomly invites girls to his place, I'm not even sure if he doesn't have a girlfriend like he's hinted.

I also wouldn't want him to think I'm easy. Should I go over? Or I should wait for him to mention it again?

PS: we already jokingly picked a day. I don't want a situation where it turns out I misread the signals and was excited about nothing. I screamed when he asked if I would come over.

In April, we chatted about the end of school stuff he has going on and his career. When I start asking him about it, he says it's hard to explain on text but can explain it better in person. I figured that was his way of trying to set something up. So I replied with, "Oh. Haha. I see. So when do I get to see you in person so you can explain it?" and he says, "Haha. After Easter break I can fit something in."

The next day, people knew about it as a rumor had spread. One of his "friends" pulled me to the side and wanted a "girl chat."

The gist of what she told me:

- He can be a hit or miss. Meaning that he might be a good guy, he might not be.

- That he basically cheated on his girlfriend while she was in New York, but he didn't really do anything either so he technically didn't cheat (her words, not mine).

- Sophomore year, he talked to her for a month, then ghosted her. Then he was taking to someone last December and ghosted her too.

- She said he seems like he's grown up since then, she just wanted to give me a heads up that he's probably in his "player stage."

- She also said that his roommate and best friend are players. I've had several classes with his roommate and he's the sweetest guy. As for his friend, I'll give her that one, he can be trouble.

I wanted to tell him and ask him about it, but there was never a good time as he didn't ask to hang out after she spoke to me. Now, he doesn't reach out first, but if I do he does respond. This past week, we talked for four days straight and I figured that maybe I should say something to him. But yesterday, his friend posted a photo that shows her, him and a couple other people (the people she told me are trouble) at a show. My crush and her were pretty far from each other, but they still obviously hang out and talk.

Is it too late for me to say something to him? I don't want to look like a drama queen.
