I was out with a group of friends, during the night my friend met up with her cousin and her friends, there was a guy in the group who was drop down my dream guy during the night I saw him looking over at our table and making eye contact with me and smiling. I presumed he was just being friendly.

Later in the night as we were all leaving his friend (who is also a girl) shouted across to say I was gorgeous, and she loved my hair, he was standing with her smiling and held eye contact. It could have been me but I felt he was interested, but I'm not sure if he is just a sweet and friendly guy. As we were leaving he hung back and walked across with me smiling while my friends joked about me being gorgeous (he was laughing and smiling the entire time). We didn't say much together when we walked alongside each other. I walked in behind him and he held the door for me, a guy came into my face to chat me up and he was holding the door for me smiling again and waited until I went in and brushed off the other guy and ran inside. As we went into the bar he stayed standing near me by the wall while his friends went to the bar, again another guy came up and he smiled again.

Throughout the night I would keep catching his eye but he never once tried to make a move or talk to me. My friends thought his friend was trying to give him a pep talk but he never did come up to me. What do ye think?

My cousin is transgender, and I suspect the guy I was talking to had a sexual interest in transgender women based on things I noticed about him. I opened up to her about how his actions, along with other things he did, left me feeling hurt, unattractive, and not good enough. He ghosted me, and on top of that, I realized he had other sexual preferences that I wasn’t aware of.

I shared my feelings with my cousin, but I still have conflicting emotions about it all. At one point, I even asked her to look at his social media to see if I had missed anything, but then I told her to forget it because I didn’t fully trust her. I worried she might talk about me behind my back, and the thought of that triggered a breakdown because, despite everything, I still have strong feelings for him and just want to feel like I’m enough for him.

However, she went ahead and looked anyway. I found out through my mother that my cousin had not only checked his social media but even attempted to reach out to him. When I confronted my mother, she dismissed my feelings and defended my cousin, saying she would never do anything like that—despite her actions proving otherwise. My mother then tried to gaslight me, saying things like, “I’m sure you’ve done things too,” which was incredibly hurtful.

It broke my heart because I would never betray a family member like that or try to interfere with someone they had been involved with.

I’m wondering if this guy at work could have a crush on me or at the very least find me attractive. We work in completely different departments so there is minimal chance that our paths would cross in a work related context. Here is a list of his behaviours:

He is the one who started interacting with me. I noticed him gazing at me one day, our eyes met and he smiled at me.

The gazing/smiling happened a few times and he would always be the first to smile, I’d always be the first to look away.

When I eventually said hi to him, he smiled even more

He went through a phase of ignoring me and looking away when stood near me

When we do talk, he is smiling the whole time.
On our first proper interaction, he asked where I work and he said twice that he will have to come and “check it out”. I also told him what time I finish.

My friends said that they saw him walking past our office and staring into our office, ten minutes after I finished.

He acts somewhat awkward/fidgety when we walk and he sometimes backs away/walks away when we talk.

My work friends have noticed the way he looks at me. One saw us talking and she said “if my boyfriend looked like that at another girl, I’d be upset”

I was walking behind my friend and he was walking towards us. He was practically fixated on me and staring at me, then I looked at him, and he smiled at me.

I’ve never seen him talk to other random girls who aren’t in his department.

I’ve noticed that he will mess with his hair if I am nearby.

We sometimes make eye contact from afar.

Yesterday, as I turned around, I saw him looking away quickly which would indicate he was staring at me. And then as I was grabbing some cutlery, I looked up and he was staring at me.

There are some things I find confusing:

I’ve never caught him staring at me and looking at me loads
He never looks at my body, he just stares into my eyes and at my mouth
The whole walking away/backing away when I’m talking to him confuses me

What do you guys think?

I have been with my husband for 7 years and we have a 1 year old daughter together. I also have a 9yo son from my previous relationship and my husband has adopted him. His family has always been toxic but it's always been in a "I feed off drama" way and nothing more. However, they really upped it last year. Basically my sister in laws husband hit my 9yo son in the back of the head out of anger (my son was playing tag with his cousin and ran inside and the door slammed behind him). It was a hard hit. Cops were called and the police did nothing because there was no witnesses outside of me and they called it a "he said she said" thing and stated that we needed to work through our own family conflict. They claimed my son wasn't a reliable witness because he wouldn't speak to them (he's incredibly shy, has ASD and was just assaulted by a grown ass man so he was already scared - he just kept hiding behind me saying "mum can you just tell them" and they took this as me making shit up and leading my son to say something that wasn't true).

When my sister in law found out what happened she was initially on our side and scolded her husband. But he threatened to divorce her, so she did a 180° and started claiming her husband did nothing wrong and that he only hit my son because my kid has been repeatedly told not to slam doors and didn't listen so her husband had an "impulse reaction" and claimed "no harm, no foul" because my son was fine. So, I cut all contact and when our daughter was born we refused to let her anywhere near her despite her being extremely excited for the baby and having made all these customized items for her. She was destroyed over it but oh well. Don't defend a child abuser.

Well, here it is a year later and my mother in law brought it up randomly and stated "I understand completely why he hit your son." So I told her to leave and she wasn't welcome back here around my children. Now my husband is upset because he wants his mother around.
