When I say "at the same time," I am not asking about going out with two different girls next Friday at 8 pm. I don't think many people would ever agree to such a thing. I am talking about going out with Sandy on Friday night and going out with Valerie on Saturday night, then Sandy maybe next Thursday, and Valerie the following Saturday.

I have done this three times in my lifetime. The first time, during my promiscuous younger years, I had a sexual relationship with two girls at the same time. That only lasted about three or four weeks, as I felt guilty about it. The second and third time, there were no sexual relationships when I was dating two ladies at the same time, and I quickly (within 3-4 weeks) chose one to pursue and said goodbye to the other.

This is a common humor that I've never understood, what's so funny about someone tripping, slipping, or falling in some other way?

When we were all walking back to class after lunch in 6th grade, I was too close to the slot where steel double doors close, and I accidentally kicked it and fell to my knees. People laughed at me, but I just looked at them, confused, as to why they thought it was funny.

In 2019, at an airsoft place, I accidentally kicked someone's hard rifle case, and fell down. I held my hand out, asking for someone's help, not one person giggled, and two people helped raise me to my feet.

It was a heartwarming display, but it also still begs the question, why would anyone find it funny to see someone slip, trip, or fall in some other way?

I asked a question about public embarrassments, and one person told me they were embarrassed when they slipped on a wet floor, and someone laughed at him, before helping him up. I don't get it, why would it be funny for a person to fall to the ground?

As kids, short and light as we were, falling to the ground is unlikely to have dire consequences, but as adults, falling to the ground and hitting the wrong place can lead to serious injury. Why anyone would laugh at that beats me.

So tell me, why would someone find it funny to see someone slip and fall to the ground?

I've never dated a narcissistic person. I'm just asking the question because it has become popular online to diagnose other people with all kinds of mental illnesses just because they might not be that into you. I understand it's a much more interesting story if you got caught up with someone who seemed cool but turned out to be mentally ill, than if you're just dating out of your league and they had more attractive options hitting them up on their phone. But we shouldn't throw these words around too much :)
