This applies to people of every age, including coworkers 20 years my senior. They would speak in an unusual annoyed tone even if I don’t really bother them since I’m pretty independent and ask good questions only when necessary, they would cross their arms, make faces or tilt their chin up to show me that they don’t approve of me even though we never had any fights. Many people tell me that I’m too quiet and not outgoing enough but that can’t be the reason why they act like this.

He sits near me when other seats or rooms are available, tries to keep conversation going and keeps checking me out and remembers every little boring detail I tell him about myself, keeps glancing at me when I’m talking to other coworkers or asks what we were talking about. One day he seemed annoyed by me and mentioned his girlfriend as if he tried to shut me up so he could focus on work which was very out of his character.

Why is he curious and tries to be near me if he is not attracted? Do guys act this way if they just have platonic interest in a girl?
