When I was about 14, my brother's girlfriend styled my hair. She literally said, ".. guys will be disappointed once they see your face!" In the moment, I didn't understand what she meant, so I asked my brother and he laughed. Then, commented "It's because you look like dad!"

A few weeks ago, I went on a cruise by myself. I heard a group of people talking about me as I walked by. "... why is she by herself? Because she's a man" In the moment, I laughed it off. Now, I'm ruminating about it.

Guys always stare at me, but they never approach me in public. I have green eyes, and few arm tattoos, so I always wonder whether they are looking at my eyes, tatts or trying to determine if I'm trans!

Y’all approach girls who show no interest in you at ALL based off just LOOKS alone then cry or complain about them rejecting or ignoring you. It’s very obvious when a woman does NOT want you to approach them, leave them alone.

My husband noticed that since he's been at his job, people who know him talk to him much more often than people at his old job did back when he was living as a woman. It's the same type of office job as before, and his personality n how he acts hasn't changed at all. Just now people know he's a man, & they're more friendly toward him at work and social events.

And I've noticed the opposite in interactions with strangers when out running errands n shit. When I was living as a man it was rare for a stranger to initiate conversation w me out in public. Now it happens fairly often. And same thing i act the same, I talk the same, just now I look like a woman & strangers approach/talk to me more in public.

& is this true for you as well? Men, are acquaintences usually very friendly to you, but strangers don't talk to you? Women, do strangers often approach you but acquaintances can seem distant/quiet at work and such?

And quality ones, not just settling. 28F, I’m told I’m attractive but I’ve never had it easy dating. I’ve only ever used dating apps & while they’re trash to me, lots of people had success with them. I’ll add that im very reserved, seems like most good looking women can just go about their day & run into their next SO with no effort. I never get approached, can say I’ve never gotten approached by a man I’d actually want to date. On the dating apps getting matches were never the issue, it’s more fizzling out/ghosting/ the issues you deal with on the apps usually. It makes me question my attractiveness, over the years I’ve said eff it & have gotten better at dealing with it, I’ll never let a man question my confidence like that again bc I know there’s nothing wrong with me. Am I right or are good looking women actually putting in effort?
