Why are men so dismissive of women in the work place?

It's like some men hold no value to what women have to say or simply just ignore them... This bothers me and how you do approach these men and tell them they should change their ways? Or how do you make these women feel valued to those men who will never change their ways? Honestly some of the best idea's have come from women and some men have been very dismissive of them because they are women. So what's the deal? Why can't some men treat women like they are part of the team?

I've worked with lots of women who were smart, educated, and contributed a lot to the work at hand. They were valuable, trusted members of the team.

I've also worked with quite a few women who spent 7 hours a day gossiping, texting their friends/boyfriends, and stirring up problems and pushing far-left politics.

People respect the former just fine. They don't respect the latter.
