Who knows, it may be revealed to us soon that a lot of our experiences and struggles back then were unnecessary or in vain. I know I hardly remember anything I learned in school past the 4th grade. Once you have basic reading, writing, and arithmetic down, you are fairly functional in the world. I don't remember any of this algebra crap really.

But besides the long, grueling school days and countless hours of bullshit homework, what are some of your favorite memories in the 2000s?

I miss the cartoons back then. They were miles better than the shit these kids have today. Tech was decent back then and there was a good balance of playing outside and enjoying video games and computers just as much. Kids used to actually interact and socialize. Riding bikes and outdoor adventures all the way to making trails and playing in the creek in the backyard. You had cool, big electronics stores and the mall was still fun to go to. Windows XP anyone? Pinball 3D? I had a Palm Tungsten E2 and a Life drive, which I thought was kickass back then but is ancient tech now. Then you had the old, big cable remotes with the spongy buttons where I used to surf channels I shouldn't watch... hehe.

So my best friend Bri have started to grow apart. It all started after her can my other friend D started dating. We used to all be close friends and then me and her got really close. Like we were the only person that eachother would talk to or hang it with for months. But Bri is honestly absolutely amazing, she gorgous as hell, and even tho she’s like absolutely my dream girl. Ever since day one I’ve known that she’s way out of my league and that I would she would never be interested in my like that so from day one we always just looked at eachother as friends. So I originally met Bri through my friend D. We immediately got closer to eachother tho. We would only hang out and go do stuff with eachother and it was weird because I used to always hand out with a bunch of different people because I’m super outgoing her on the other hand is shy and quiet. But we both kinda bonded and changed when we met eachother and because of that we are super close. So about 6 months into us being friends D started coming around again. Month or so later they start dating. I’m cool with it idc. Fast forward a couple of months ( 4 or 5 months ago) and he starts to get controlling and starts to get upset and jealous when we hang out so respect it and keep my distance. She moves in. Then they start to fight a lot. She would tell me that she’s not happy there, he’s super controling and doesn’t want to live life like she has. But keeps going back and keeps letting him change her and who she is. Won’t let her make her own decisions. He told her that she isn’t allowed to be friend or hang out with em anymore and it’s been a month since I’ve seen her. She barely talks to me but when she does she tells me that she is going to leave once she fixes her car and stuff. She tells me that she is still my friend that she still cares about me, and then shows me the opposite. But when I try to get over it she says something that gives me hope to not give up.

It is basically a procedure currently in the works (with some proven success) to edit your genes which will enable you to thwart chronic health issues, make you stronger, faster, improve IQ and even your looks from within. It will eventually be a painless procedure and will turn you into a genetic specimen. Kinda cool right? It will be mainstream in a decade or two according to all current datapoints.
