Who is looking forward to CRISPR gene editing?

I dont think increasing IQ is a good idea. You'll get a Bioshock situation where Andrew Ryan only wanted the strong and smart to live in his underwater city. Everyone was smart and no one wanted to work the lower skilled jobs and eventually they build technology to kill each other and they all killed one another.
And CRISPR is already out. You can choose an embryo that won't develop mental illnesses or will have a higher chance of happiness. But intelligence they don't let choose that. But I am sure some rich people pay under the table for it.
The ones who don't will just end up being the slaves. The US is an Oilgrachy and they are not hiding it anymore.
Is this what happened to the woman in this Star Trek snippet? "Doctor gave me a pill and I grew a new kidney."

we'll be able to craft an actual master race
we'll be able to work like machines, never have to suffer fatigue again and have endless amounts of energy that will lead to absolute endless perfection, time to make the human race great again

This shit should be banned immediately, the consequences to our species evolution could be completely disastrous. Our species is evolved for millions of years by natural selection and genetic diversity. To take all that and just throw it away and start altering the basic building blocks of our existence is very stupid and extremely short-sighted.
It would be nice if they had it now to edit out cancer too and other diseases, hopefully it happens in our lifetime
I’m old enough but should be around if it happens within two decades
Is it affecting me or my future offspring? Is it even possible to edit genes to have an affect on your already developed body
It will widen the gap between haves and have nots. Those from poverty will never be able to afford this and will fall further without a means to compete. Sounds cool but the social ramifications are what I fear.
I guess the “how” is the issue. Can I as a 40 year old man edit my current genes in time for it have any affect on my life?
I do beleive parents choosing their fetuses gene’s will be possible. Ethics TBD. Lol
I want to be excited by it, but there's this little voice in my head saying "do not think mortals can play God."
improving your IQ won't be as simple as editing a gene. you're going to have to have hundreds of human test subjects to see what goes wrong. this will almost certainly never be commercially available for vanity purposes.
I am psyched.
It's already going on
Looking forward to? It's already here
I'm sure everyone is
