So I’m at a bit of a crossroads, and thought I’d ask on here. To get right to it, I’m 30 and have no dating experience and never been in a relationship. Usually on Valentine’s Day, I go to the casino to play slot machines while I drink and vape THC oil as it helps lessen the blow that I’ve been alone my whole life. But just the other day, I heard an ad on the radio that the station airing the ad is hosting a singles mixer. Now I can’t decide what to do, but I am reluctant to go to the singles mixer because I feel like where I’m at in my life will get me written off by all women. Not only do I have no experience at 30, but I also still live at home with my parents, all I do for work is deliver for DoorDash, and I don’t have any friends. Asking what you do for work is one of the most common icebreaker questions and saying that all I do is DoorDash at 30 is more than likely gonna get looked down upon. So maybe I should try and improve these aspects of my life and go next year.

I'm not interested in her in any way as she to me is just a close a friend. I know recently that her and her husband have had a few problems plus i know from her he is abroad on a work trip.

But just yesterday she sent me multiple shots and videos of herself trying on different outfits - all of which she was looking very seductive in (skin tight dresses, cleavage on display, bum out giving me full 360 twirls etc). I had asked her where she was going and she said she did a clothing haul. In each video she was asking for my opinion.

We do usually send each other memes which are funny and of the banter nature but after this event, one she sent me asked "if I was with you for 24 hours and I couldn't say no blah blah". I didn't respond but this has led to me ask and post this.

There's a lot of occurrences now in hindsight looking back that I should've noticed but I didn't pick up on but I would like some people's advice. Apologies for my ignorance also. Not much experienced in the women and dating scene as much as I'd like.

And that women experience how dating is for men in their 20s?

This question stems from a conversation I had yesterday with another user about the idea that nice guys finishing last stems often from a lack of confidence or charisma. Thinking about the sort of dating advice society gives men, based upon my experiences, little attention is paid to things like charisma, and confidence. Though that trend has been changing, it seems. Do you guys think that the dating advice many men are given should change?
