After dating almost 4 years he insists on knowing my body count. Why?

Normally this wouldn’t be an issue for me to address. My experience is anytime I start to tell or answer his questions about my past, I don’t move from the truth and time and time again he attacks me for it later. He’s convinced because I used to go out on Saturday nights when I was single that I was just having a bunch of one night stands. I’ve actually never even had a one night stand and he won’t let go of the thought that is how I was. I even asked him if I told him my number would he believe me? He told me no. I’ve asked why this is so important when he doesn’t believe and makes me upset what the point is…. And he never has a decent answer. After 4 years this has only become an issue that he brought to my attention over the last year. Thoughts?

So let me get this straight. You've been in a happy successful relationship for four whole years and everything was great. And he's been focussing on your body count for four years straight? Even though he's in a happy, loving relationship? So why does it even matter to him? You're both happy, you're both I assume clean and healthy and you both love each other. Why obsess over something that after 4 years doesn't matter. Everything is perfect isn't it? He just can't stop obsessing over it? After four years and there is no issues at all it sounds obsessive compulsive to me. Time to let go and appreciate what you have. This is where insecurity and obsession ruins his relationship and a happy future.

He sounds like an insecure, controlling jerk with emotionally abusive tendencies. Partners are supposed to make each other better people, not tear each other down. It's weird you've been in a relationship for so long with a guy with so many red flags. Maybe you grew up with that being normal, but it's not healthy. Be safe.

Break up with him if he does not believe in you remember you can decide to sleep with other people at this moment but you are with him instead. Then annoy him the same way ask if what is his body count and ask every single day and see his reaction,
