I only ask since the insidious hands of fate have decided to bestow upon me a crown, not a King's crown of gold, but a crown of emptiness, namely the very emptiness of hair density upon my upper scalp. This curse has plagued my family for generations, and I mean that in the most literal way possible. My dad lost hair, and my granddad on my mom's side found himself blessed with the same fate.

I'm not completely bald or anything, but my hair is thinning out and it's extremely easy to notice. I'm self conscious about something I had no control over and I do not plan on wasting money for hair car, that would be admitting defeat to the heinous gene gods.

Fortunately I'm engaged and my fiancée accepts me and my various flaws, so that's not the issue here. But I still feel like a dufus in public. It's only noticeable when viewed from the back. And no, I don't wear hats, I heard hats only further the "root" of the problem... It's just, well, I'm not that old yet, and this began when I was about 18. I can only fear what lies in wait for me in the future-- it's certainly not a luscious full head of hair, that's for sure.

Guys, girls, what do you think? Is this a legitimate cause for alarm or is it another hair-brained worry of of a man who's weight is 0.00008 grams lighter from a lack of a certain scalp beautifying... whatever, I'll quit with the jokes.
