I believed God exists because without him I wouldn’t regret what I had done wrong. He showed me the right path and is very forgiving of me. I sometimes hate myself for hurting others because it’s against God’s will. I realised that I shouldn’t follow societal expectations of women, like how I should look to please lots of men. I don’t follow trends and I don’t follow celebs and beauty trends, I didn’t buy luxury goods too. I realised if I were to follow them till I die, I will have to face God myself and I might end up in hell. I’m someone who would rather listen to God than random people telling me what I should do when I’m not like them. I’m not against people who don’t believe in God. The reason why I came back to God is because of how messed up the world is and God made me see the positive side of things.

I prayed to God every single day thanking him for keeping me alive and safe whenever I go out. I may not be rich but I’m perfectly happy with what I have rather than worry about what I didn’t have that most rich people can afford. God gave me a choice whether to follow him or go against him which is what I loved about him. I do faced judgements from random strangers because I’m not following trends but I just ignore them and live my life because what matters me the most is I follow God’s ways. God only sees how good a person’s heart is while many people tend to see how a person looks physically which is sadly true, if not why would the handsome men and beautiful women get so many people trying to make a move on them? I’m a low maintenance girl living a minimalist lifestyle.

I loved to complain ever since I was in high school over things I couldn’t control and they were not big matters. I complained about why I need to pluck my eyebrows, shave, wear contact lens, wear makeup like most girls. I even complained why must the train and buses break down at the wrong time. I also complained about why all the things I liked always get sold out. Then I realised I complained way too much and for what? If I don’t like to do something I can choose not to do it why complain? Even bad things happening to me is also not something I could control.

I didn’t follow society’s beauty standards and I chose to be different from most girls and women. I know I stand out a lot but if my choices make me happy, why not? I felt that people’s negative opinions of me for not “fitting in” didn’t matter at all. I’m proud to be myself and not because society expected me to look like. Only the right guy for me will be by my side since I’m different from most girls and women, I know he will come to me I just have to wait. I didn’t realised I’m lucky in a certain way yet I took my life for granted. I’m not a hairy girl then I stumbled upon an article written by a hairy girl, frankly speaking I felt bad she has to go through those struggles hence I learned to understand people with struggles much better.

And I also have to try my best to be a good woman if I want to attract a good man which was not that hard for me to be. I learned to be more compassionate, sympathetic and understanding. Good news: I had finally stopped complaining unnecessarily and learned to accept life better! If I can do it you can do it too!
