Search Results: should i wait or ask her out

So, this guy friend kind of invited me to his place. We're friends but he's like the "friend of a friend". I've had a crush on him for a while, not a major crush tho, though I just find him cute. He's never made a move on me, we've met in groups a few times and I assumed he was dating our mutual friend or that at least they have something going on. I've never been able to prove this tho and I didn't bother asking. But he's hinted that he's single. Long story short, he flirted with me after I posted a picture and I harmlessly flirted back. One thing led to another and he invited me over to his place to " test out something new he just got" (an inside joke). I don't mind visiting but I'm not sure if he really likes me or if he was just joking with the invite. Also, maybe he's the type who randomly invites girls to his place, I'm not even sure if he doesn't have a girlfriend like he's hinted.

I also wouldn't want him to think I'm easy. Should I go over? Or I should wait for him to mention it again?

PS: we already jokingly picked a day. I don't want a situation where it turns out I misread the signals and was excited about nothing. I screamed when he asked if I would come over.

I invited someone I’m interested in on a little getaway next week… he’s usually quite busy but he’s kind of in between jobs right now so I thought it might work. This is how the convo went after I asked him if he wanted to come: “wow this is real cool! I’ll have to get back to you on this one. I need to free myself up. I will certainly let you know by tomorrow night.” Then I said: “no rush! I totally understand if you’re busy, I know you have a lot going on right now! Good night😊” then he replied with “ thank you so much for your understanding. It means a lot! Night” That was almost 3 days ago now, and I haven’t heard anything! At first I thought that he was going to get back to me… but now after not hearing from him I’m wondering if he subtly declined and I just misunderstood? Do you think I should text him to clarify? Or just wait and see if he messages me? I did say no rush.. so maybe he’s just needing more time to figure it out or I totally missed it and he basically said no already. Lol Thank you!

I'm talking about someone you actually know, not a stranger/hookup. Do you wait for the right time, maybe lead the conversation towards meeting up or do you just do it spontaneously?

I feel like I'm giving it way too much thought and let it stress me out way more than it should.

I'm currently on Match. The reason being around here "pickings" are slim. By this I mean drug abuse, alcoholism, welfare, cheating, etc. is quite common. It's a small very low-class town. I went on one date with a local & even that one date indicated he had a controlling persona.

Now I work in medical & during COVID was insanely busy - I was overseeing not one but two pharmacy/clinic combinations - and there was also the fact that my gym closed down so exercise was more or less nonexistent.

I put on some weight but I am in the midst of taking it back off. And when I can hike for 2-3 hours a day on the weekend it won't take me long come the summer to do that.

My question is, should I wait until fit to rejoin Match or any online dating site? Or should I include something in my bio & let men decide?

The reason I ask is I am actually quite attractive - was approached in university by a modeling company - when I am fit & I don't want to be approached solely on looks. My cousin tried match & she found most of the men who approached her on looks to be boring dullards with little to offer except bank accounts.
