I have a crush on a male colleague. We have a flirty relationship and he teases me a lot. We make strong eye contact and he usually looks at me first when he enters the room. I have caught him staring. He has sometimes shown signs of jealousy, for example, getting somewhat annoyed when I had a lift to work off another guy. When I was away on holiday, someone asked if he missed me and he said “it’s quiet”. I have caught him looking at my body before and sometimes he has made sexual jokes (not very often). He does silly things to get my attention and he will tease me.

When we were tipsy, I told him I have a huge crush on him and eventually he admitted he felt the same way. However, recently he has said that he never means anything he says while drunk.

I was joking around today, and I told him “fuck you” to which he said “no thank you”

Do you think he likes me?

I switched gyms and saw GC for the first time 4 months ago. He’s quiet and focused on his workouts. I planned to leave state for 2 months so I figured I’d start a small convo before leaving to get his number. We had 3 convos over 3 days. On the third day, he said “while you have your phone out, take my number”. Then he asked, will you come back at all [from your trip]?

I took this as in he was interested in me.

I sent him a text with my first name only. So I asked before we left the gym if he’d like to hang out before I leave state. He said, “I have to be transparent, I have a girlfriend but things have been rocky and I don’t want to cross boundaries. She has an PA exam in May and I’m waiting until then.” He also is moving to CO in the fall and already told her last week not to move out there for him.

Over the next two days, he made the first move to strike up convo at the gym. I asked why he gave me his number and he said, “I didn’t want to miss an opportunity if she and I break up.”

I told him I’d wait for him to text me to let me know if anything changes and I wouldn’t contact him to be respectful of his relationship.

He found my social media and looks at my stories but hasn’t followed me. I believe he visits his girlfriend on the weekend (yesterday and today) and he viewed my stories both days in the morning and evening. I also think he found out that I’m 5 years older than him.

They’ve been together for 7 years (17-25yo). They both have deep Christian faiths. Their parents were college roommates. They played coed sports together in HS.

Am I just a shiny toy, distraction, rebound?

I was sat close to my colleague, who I have a crush on. We have previously admitted to liking each other (while slightly drunk) and we have a flirty/tease relationship.

While I was sat talking to him, I noticed that he kept glancing at both eyes and then glancing down to my lips.

Then we had about 5 seconds of prolonged eye contact where we were just smiling at each other.

Is this a body language cue that he is attracted to me?

I live in Berlin and have a pretty tough dating life because every person here wants an open relationship, including married people. I personally never understood this since I always had crushes on only one person at a time and I believe that if you've found the right person you don't look around for other opportunities. Also I don't believe you have enough time and energy to devote yourself to more than one person given all responsibilities (job, family, friends etc.). Am I just prude? Do people enter open relationships or even marriages because they don't want to be alone while they are waiting for their ideal partner?
