But more in the short term, can we actually run out of metals? Some chemical reactions are hard to reverse yes, but I assume most of the metal is reusable and recyclable. And we don't have to put as much effort as we were when we were mining it

And energy, for example every hour more solar energy hits the earth than the world uses in an entire year. Assuming we could sort out energy needs possibly we would be able to dig deeper.

You find the black item and out pops the Reaper Genie. The Reaper Genie tells you that any semi-achievable wish of yours can come true but at the cost of your life. You will die in 60 minutes after the wish is made. She then tells you the rules.

1. You can't wish for more wishes, obviously.
2. You can't undo your eventual death or find loopholes around it (like cloning yourself, immortality, resurrection, or anything).
3. The wish can only affect anything on Earth. Nothing outside the planet.
4. No time travel.
5. No extinction level events (gotta save some people for next week).

Do you take the wish? If so, what do you wish for from the Reaper Genie?

I'm physically short, so my life means nothing. I'd wish for humanity to instantly reach its intellectual and moral peak and to inspire future generations to remain that way. That's right! Ya boy's going fully selfless on his way out!

In July 1969, Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin were the first humans to land on the moon. After several hours on the surface, they got into their lunar ascent module named "Eagle", blasted off, rendezvoused and docked with the Command module in orbit, and then the "Eagle" was undocked and left in orbit while the Command Module, with its three astronauts, (Michael Collins was the Command Module pilot) returned to Earth.

In the five decades since the moon landing, several people have tried to figure out what happened to "Eagle", including some sophisticated computer algorithms and simulations, yet no one has found it.
