the guy i like is great, but also very different around me. unlike when he's around other girls, he'll be awkward around me sometimes and then completely comfortable other times. it's strange cause i don't see it happen with any other girl. although, sometimes i feel like this is quite negative because i might say something directed to him and he'll look at me and not say anything to me. this hasn't happened much though, cause i'm a bit awkward around him so the only times i will talk to him is when there aren't too many people with us or if he talks to me first. to add to this, he also looks at me quite a lot wherever we are, whatever we're doing. also, today we were with one of our other guy friends so it was just the three of us and we were talking about snapchat and the guy i like decided to take a photo of me for his snapchat streaks. he was being very friendly with me, not like other times when we're around people. thing is, people say when someone likes you their pupils dilate... but i don't think his does... but is that a definite thing?

I've been reading some signs, and I think my crush likes me back. The thing is, it seems like he is disinterested sometimes (talking in a really low, calm voice). Even when he gives me compliments and stuff, he seems overly calm. Could it be he is hiding his interest in me, or does he just see me as a friend?

We used to have a lot of fun hanging out with his friends (I am friends with his friends too)
He would smile at me in the halls and make eye contact. (I definitely feel like it was different from the hellos I get from my other guy friends.)
But ever since the new semester started and we weren't in the same class, things moved so slow. He still gives me compliments on stuff to this day. When we are talking, he makes eye contact, but he never makes eye contact in the hallway. I can say it's like we don't really know each other, other then the few minutes when we're talking. Friends can make eye contact with each other in the hallway, so I don't know what his deal is with not looking at me even when all his friends look at me. There was a few times I saw him looking at me while I was laughing and talking to my friends, but it was probably just a coincidence. Plus, he has this close friend who is a girl. That girl has liked him before and he made fun of her once for liking him in the past. I feel like he likes her...

He's my age, 17, and he comes up to me to chat and spend like, 2 hours talking (like 4 times/week). We go to the same college and we are both musicians. In fact, recently he saw me and came to sit with me. Then 2 of his friends came and then mine came as well so we were more like focusing on out friends rather than talking to eat other but we still said some things. According to my friends , it is like we sort of avoid each other but or close just unreachable... I myself know that I am really good at hiding my feelings. I did like it though that he came to me. I did notice though that when he talks to me he holds eye contact and gives a half smile sort of. He laughs at what I say but it is like he is really good at hiding it. My friend also noticed him a few months back always looking at me. Now it's like he knows I'm there and looks at everyone but me... I do that as well. I do go to chat with him as well so it is from both sides. He also comments on my posts whenever I say that I achieved good grades, and I do so myself on his posts. He also remembered me telling him my favorite composer, that was sweet haha. We are always encountering at the library, it is like (at least from my end) that we go there not just to work but to meet or see each other. I am pretty good, but I still show that I care. When he sees me he smiles automatically and when he comes to talk I see him trying to reduce the smile.
My friend noticed is that when I was leaving the library, his friend kept looking backward at me and my crush tilted his body slightly but not completely towards him like he was before when I was sitting in front of him.
lastly, the day before he initiated chat twice, once to talk about a guy (our convos also start with an excuse, for ex, him saying: "do we have rehearsals tomorrow?" Then the second time he sent me a draft of a music composition he was working on. What do you think? My opinion is that there may be a hint of interest but it's not clear.
