I forgot when I sent the text first thing Friday Morning that it was Valentine’s Day when she responded back asking if it was a joke. I told her it wasn’t a joke and that we should stop seeing each other and she said she understood.

Now some of our mutual friends are mad at me for breaking things off on Valentine’s Day like there’s some rule you can’t break up. Was I in the wrong? Should I have waited until Monday?
