So after me and my ex broke up about a few years later I slept with his cousin. (We shall call him Dean) I don’t regret it. Fast forward to a few years later. We live in different states and have continued to talk to each other as friends, we do send nudes and shit and we are there for each other when we’re having a bad day. I asked Dean if he feels bad that we still talk to each other even though I’m his cousin’s ex. He said no and that he guess his cousin had a chance to be a good man. We have tried to stop communicating but it doesn’t happen for long. The only excuse he gives me is that things won’t work out because of the distance and his son is in his state so he won’t leave. Does he like me or not? He also won’t say if he likes me or not.

28F, I’m just leaning towards bad luck. I’m very introverted & not the friendliest but I don’t think I’m intimidating. I’m told I’m cute/attractive, it’s not like I’m a runway model yet guys just never approach me. I’m told guys look at me but they never do anything about it & I’m too shy. I know there’s nothing wrong with me, most women seem to get guys so easily. That’s why I’ve been on and off the apps since I was maybe 18, getting matches has never been a prob. For maybe the past year I’ve become less and less interested, I reply to matches/msgs every couple of days? Even when I was more engaged it still led to the same pattern of no success. A few people have said maybe I’m asexual (haven’t had sex or masturbated in years), assume I’m gay or I’m unsure of what I want. Maybe they’re all wrong & simply I haven’t found the right person? I dated someone for a few months back when I was 23 & after dealing with someone I felt like I settled for, I decided I’d rather be alone vs be with someone I am not crazy for. I’m kind of at the point where I’m apathetic & I just feel too old to be bothered.

Like say you cancel a date, and he doesn't try to chase you after that, or you don't return his texts, and he stops trying to text you. Or, he's really quiet during the date, and looks unimpressed by you. Does that make you feel insecure and make you try to have sex with him to try and prove yourself to him that you're a caring individual and not a bad, distant person?

Mine is my dad & in a way I feel bad about feeling this way towards him. He’s a good person but out of everyone in my life he’s always annoyed me the most I lose my patience quickly. I think it stems from when I was younger, my mom divorced him after cheating & I feel like he took his frustration out on me. I’m his only child & my parents are good friends, he lives in another state but I get irritated when he calls too much. It’s known that his side of the family is shitty, he’s single (by choice) & my moms family has always pointed out that I’m all he has which is too much pressure to me. Back in HS/college he used to take his frustration out on me even living in another state & one day I cut all contact with him. We didn’t talk for 3 years & since speaking again we’ve been on good terms. I just lose my patience with him so quickly, he asks the same questions over again & it’s like he thinks he looks cute playing clueless every once in a while. My mom said he does that with me bc he doesn’t know what else to talk about with me, what if I was married or had a man? Would I still be expected to make sure I’m at his beckoning call? I don’t know if I can ever move past this 🫣
