Scenario: You find yourself marooned on an uncharted island with three warring tribes and you must choose between 2. You were captured by one tribe which were hostile cannibals and now that night has come two men approach you, neither from this Cannibal tribe.

You are given the choice to leave with one of these men who will take you back to their tribe and induct you as a full member of their society. However they are different from one another and also rivals and you must choose between them.

The Warrior Society: This tribe is very strict. In order to become anything more than a 2nd class citizen of the tribe you will need to go through a baptism of combat and bloodshed. This tribe has been warring with the Cannibals for a long time and they require your aid. In return you will be allowed to become a recognized warrior of prestige. You will even have a chance to pick a mate from the tribe (even if you're a woman). This tribe is very safe and has staved off every attack. With a strong monogamous family structure, rites, and ceremonies and believes in meritocracy there is a chance that one day you can rise to the top. But it is also very brutal and you will need to fight to rise in the clan.

The Hedonist Society: This society is also warring with the Cannibals but not making as much headway. They are not a violent group. They dont have monogamy of any kind instead preferring to let everyone live in bliss. Sex whenever you wanted with whoever you wanted. They play lots of music, express themselves through art, and tend to be more lax. As a result the people seem more laid back and easy going but they have dropped their guard on occasion and thus allowed members to fall into the hands of the Cannibals. There is no real political figurehead, just a high priestess who guides the people for spiritual matters. Everyone in the tribe regardless of gender, size, shape, is considered an equal. All things are shared, but dont expect to find a Significant Other here.

One of the reasons men get so angry over the friendzone is not because we lost our opportunity to be more than friends. Rejection burns but that is just a fact of life for more most men. Dating is like being a door to door salesman to us. Its up to us to make it happen and if we get a no then we want to move on ASAP until we eventually hear a yes. The disinterested girl is now just a liability if we continue to waste our time and energy on her.

Anyway the real reason we get angry about the friendzone is we feel like our masculinity isn’t being respected. Respecting a man surely doesn’t mean dating him, having sex and/or getting a relationship. Its understanding his gamble he took a (likely uncomfortably) by approaching you. It’s now your turn to be forthcoming about where you stand. It need to be done sooner than later.

Confidently assuming he is going to be okay with being platonic friends when it’s plain as day he wants more is disrespectful, cowardly and selfish.

While I can understand that women are nervous that men won’t take rejection well in reality most guys can take in in stride. If they do get angry or rude than take that as confirmation you made the right choice.

No the truth is most women don’t want to lose out on the benefits of having the interested guy in their orbit (attention, favors, ego boost, someone to use against you really like, etc.). They also know that interested guy will likely do more for them vs someone who isn’t. This is especially true of if they see the guy is “nice” which women either consciously or subconsciously find feminine. Most of them have no idea how deeply insulting that attitude to vast majority of hetero men.

Anyway I haven’t been “friéndzoned” in a very long time but I’ve had women attempt that crap (including grown ass women in their 30s). The attempt itself is infuriating tbh (a woman past 30 should know better. I feel there should come a point in a woman’s life where she should understand male psychology better.

Let's say a man with a net worth of $5 million dollars proposed to you. Before the marriage the man approaches with you this idea for a prenuptial agreement: Instead of you getting a fixed sum after the divorce, alimony, half of the house, etc., the prenuptial says "On the day of legal marriage (you, the wife) will receive a check for $1,000,000. Should you and your husband divorce (under any circumstances) you keep the $1M plus any interest, but you do not get anything else. But no matter what, the $1M you received on your wedding day is yours forever, no matter what. Do you think a woman who was paid "in advance" would be more likely to leave the man or less likely?

You also agree in advance to joint custody for any of his biological children born from the marriage.

This is effectively paying for the divorce in advance.
