I've known this guy for 4 years now (since my freshman year, we are seniors now) and we became friends last year and have gotten closer since. I started liking him at the end of last school year. He has had a couple of bad relationships and broke up with his ex last winter. By June last year I decided to text him on ig and we would text here and there. We continued to talk and text and at one point he called me randomly, saying he was driving so he could text, we ended up staying on the phone for 2 hours just talking. The next week he called, that time we ended up in the phone for 4 hours and he fell asleep on the call. While we were on the phone I told him about a movie I wanted to see and he asked who I was going to go with, because I told him I don't like going to the movies alone, I said I wasn't sure. He then offered to go with me so a week later I invited him. We made a plan and he even offered to pick me up and drive together. We went had a good time

Ever since he's been super hot and cold with me. He will engage in conversation with me a lot, then next thing I know he's ignoring me. Recently he replied to my story on ig of a picture of me and my friend. He said "you look very nice". Later that week I texted him and he had just lost a wrestling tournament and got injured and was texting super dry. I called him out on it and all he said was "I'm gonna go ahead and ghost" then he did. So major mixed signals. I don't know if he likes me

Okay so I've been having really intense eye contact with my neighbor for a couple years now and when I tried to shoot my shot with him he just ignored me. Could this be because my brother is friends with him and he doesn’t want to ruin his friendship towards him or just make things weird?
I wouldn’t say that they are best friends but surely good with each other. And this eye contact is really intense and whenever I catch him looking at me he just holds his glance and doesn’t look away so that our eyes meet every time.
