Im going to college next year so I'm watching a bunch of "do's and don'ts" about college videos and I've heard a couple people say "don't date your floormate, because floormates are family" but at the end of the day, their not and as someone who has strict parents and has never had this much unsupervised freedom, I want to take advantage of this time and "play the field" a little bit. So what happens if I meet someone on campus and they just so happen to be on my floor? Do people really care about that stuff? Would I have to move floors? Would I get judged?

I’m 40, she’s 39 and both of us spent way too much time navigating the dating world. We’ve both been told since turning 30 to date men 10 to 20 years older. I’ve been more open to it than she was. She’s still not open to it. She’s really pretty so her looks aren’t an issue, but she gets passed over and dumped CONSTANTLY by men our age for younger women and the last time really hurt her.

I started dating a man age 54 last year and have never been happier, and dating him taught me two things: 1.) it’s really true that men like to be a little bit older than their women and 2.) men need to feel lucky to have a woman in order for a relationship to work (my boyfriend and I both know how lucky we are to have each other, but he courted and pursued me like no man my own age ever did). My friend has not accepted this yet, and it’s such a shame because my boyfriend has a friend who is perfect for her. The guy met her one time and has been begging me ever since to set him up with her and he’s been pursuing her nonstop but she won’t give him a chance just because he’s 60. She says the age gap is too big and she won’t date him because he’s 20 years older even though he treats women really well, can give her the life and love she deserves and can also respect all of the wonderful qualities that she has to offer.

That man has outright told me that he wants someone our age. How can I make her see that women our age are better off with men that age?

She said the oldest she’ll date is 50.

Am I right when I say middle aged women in their late 30’s should be dating men in their late 50’s/early 60’s? Is she right that the age gap is too big?

I matched with a guy on tinder and after texting for a few days we decided to meet up. It went so good and I feel like we both genuinely vibes and I got the sense that I could trust him (which has never happened to me before). After the date his response times increased and we were texting back and forth multiple times a day and the conversation was engaging on both parts. We made plans to meet when we both got back from our vacations but haven’t set a date yet.

Its the Christmas holidays now and he went on vacation with a friend and his response times have dropped, i expected this because obviously you’re gonna be more busy and on your phone less during the holidays and my anxious attachment is really self sabotaging me right now making me feel like he’s going to ghost me (it’s been 13 hours since my last text and no word from him). There’s only an hour time difference between us so that’s not really an issue.

I am a 17 year old girl. Last year due to reason I will not share on here I swore to never fall in love again. Anyways, 5 months later I fell in love with a "16 year old". In September of this year, he asked me out and I accepted. My new boyfriend never gave me any reason to not trust him. Then recently, his ex, Paisley, asked me how old I was and I told her. She asked why he'd date a 17 year old because he's 13 and just turned 13 last month. I told her I was confused because he told me he was 16 and turned 17 last month. I asked a couple of his other exes, Harley and Kaylee, how old he said he was to them. He told Harley and Kaylee he was 15, Paisley he was 13, and told me he was 16. I asked boyfriend why Paisley was saying he was 13 and he said "I'm not. She likes to lie a lot. Maybe she's just jealous" After I talked with boyfriend I talked with his exes again and Harley said she thinks he's lying about his age to date us since he gave us all different ages. Harley and Kaylee both say he looks 13 and I do have to agree that he does look young, but once he said he has a baby face for a teenager. Honestly at this point I don't know who to trust because it's all so confusing. Who do you guys think I should trust or what should I do?
