This is something i heard someone say. basically so many people desire to be trusted but no one wants to trust anyone. so a bit of a catch 22 there. do you agree with it? or no?

It makes me wanna slap them over the head for being so fucking stupid

They act as if it’s gonna kill them to wait a few seconds to walk across the street. Instead, they think it’s necessary to officially stop traffic in order for them to walk across the street. They do this in areas where the speed limit is like 35 mph, and expect drivers to come to a sudden screeching halt just because they need to cross the street. Wait 4-5 seconds for traffic to clear instead of expecting for someone to slam on their brakes. You don’t need to officially stop traffic because you need to cross the street. You are not that important. These people seriously piss me off

As a teacher & a parent I 💯 agree. Kids SHOULD sit with, befriend & get to know intimately boredom, rote tasks, uninspiring people, etc.

Now, is the tax paying community getting VALUE if every lesson isn't 💯 "utterly & totally engaging"? That's a different question and one that I'll ask later.

So? Value in boredom? I made the poll binary on purpose.

This concerns a NYS PTA suggested questionnaire about the NYS phone ban in schools. The question to be put to parents, students & teachers is:

"What considerations, concerns, or suggestions do you have regarding a) storage of student devices during the school day b) consequences for policy violations, and c) how we can address differing viewpoints about the ban?"

The OVERWHELMING majority of responses NYSPTA has received so far is along the lines of "I need to be in touch with my kid during emergencies & family logistics ". Problem is it's a multiparty question with a binary choice!

The Q is about STORAGE & CONSEQUENCES, NOT how you feel about the new law. They are soliciting IMPLEMENTABLE SOLUTIONS that the communities can live with.

How do I say my opinion without endorsing or opposing this non answer? Why do modern parents need to project their anxiety & narcissism into EVERYTHING?

Me personally, i do think they were real, i think we humans did actually set foot on the moon, however, there is a cult or a community of people who disagree, in which they think the Moon Landings were fake, staged, not real, that we humans do not have advanced enough of technology or transportation to do that type of feat.

I thought this would be an interesting poll discussion.
