As a very nice girl, I find it impossible to sustain a relationship with someone without the same morals / ethics as me. I come across so many men who just are straight up trash. I just can't respect or relate to them. Yet, they've had so many exes. You can't spend the rest of your life with someone you constantly disagree with or someone you cannot respect.

Short term, no not necessarily. Because it takes time to figure out someone's ethics and morality.

But long term, yes. If you aren't at least somewhat aligned in basic values it will become a source of conflict... constantly, periodically, during periods of stress and anxiety. It will result in resentment and a lack of respect.
