The Obamas aren't the first Black family. They're not even close. Humans were expected to first inhabit Earth about 200,000 years ago, so it's stupid to call them the "first" Black family. Now, did you mean first Black family IN the White House? With that logic, Barack himself isn't truly "Black", or "African-American." He's mixed, and has more Caucasian ties in his family (Especially on his Grandma's side) than Black ties. And besides all this, why even mention their race at all? Is that actually relevant? Can you name ONE positive aspect about Michelle Obama? Or was it just her race?

Personally, I think Michelle Obama is a joke. All she has done is focus on petty issues (i. e. healthy eating), yet, doesn't seem to care about the wars we are involved in across the globe.

Here's the thing. If you can afford to eat better then bring a lunch. BUT for people who can't get access to even can veggies getting acces to frozen veg is amazing.

I always had to bring lunch because even salads where fatty when I was young, I'm 31. Salads at my uni and high school served iceberg lettuce, ranch, and nastiness equalling over 1,000k.

if it's a poor kids only meal, it should at least have protein. There used to be chicken patties, burgers, turkey dinner, but then they made more fruit and veggies mandatory which costs school districts more, so less money for real food. Seriously that stuff was nasty, people just threw out the fruit because it was always rotten. And I did bring lunch every day. Pretty sure my lunch had more calories than the school lunches, though I stayed at a normal weight. No way was I going to buy overpriced garbage.
I actually knew quite a few anorexic kids, too bad for them. The obese kids I knew just brought in fatty lunches from home anyway. haha

First of all they would get more fresh fruits and vegetables that are in season. Different types of salad. Use fresh chesse especially to make a sauce or dip if a processed cheese sauce or dip would normally be used. Maybe chicken, turkey, seafood etc. Use fresh herbs. Stuff like that to start.

I would absolutely love to see that. She's very pragmatic and somehow likeable which is a hard line for women in leadership to walk. The Obamas just did such a great job communicating in meaningful ways and you know they mean what they say even if you don't like it.

I disagree with Pres Obama on many policies but not strongly but I wouldn't call them bad policy with the exception of the Snowden situation which is centrally important to me. I really have no hope Hillary will pardon him but the day he is finally pardoned will be one of the great days of my life.

I'd love to see Michelle get political but I don't think she will. As smart and capable as she is I don't see it happening simply because it isn't her drive, it isn't her way.

She was on one of those comedy late nights and made a quick joke about counting down the days to leaving office. You see it flash over her face that she realized it was the wrong thing to say but the truth.
