'Followers' - in the professional world they seem more devious and manipulative than lost and naive...

People seem to think that being a follower is some social position one has been thrown into...and is desperately trying to get out.This simply isn't the case.

A lot of people just feel comfortable not being in the center of anyone's attention and want to be pretty much left alone...but also do some fun things...hence occupy the social position of a follower.

On the other hand a professional / business follower follows because they want to advance, they want to reach that lime-light through socializing, doing what the bosses are doing...or asking them to do... They're in it for the higher pay rise, better work place treatment and eventual advancement.

So before you pity or hate a follower...consider the fact that they aren't being crushed by the leaders...because their plan might just be working exactly as they want it to.

I am a professional follower. But I don't try to follow any one for my own benefit. Indeed professionals and like minded get benefits from my association with them in the same way I am more enriched by following them. So it's a mutual exchange with equal benefits.
